Ordered a GT in Snow White pearl 9 weeks ago. Currently driving and will keep a Volvo S60 Polestar 2015. Which car is better? Will find out in January with any luck.

Live in NZ where roads are very bad and driving is worse and torque plus power are necessary.

Here is a shot of the Volvo at any rate - a very mean machine and hard act to follow.S60 A.webp

Welcome aboard, @ibmaxx! Thank you for signing up! Your S60 looks great! Thanks for posting it up. Nice wheels. Are they stock? I was never impressed with Volvo until the past generation or two. Now they catch my eye every time. The S90 is one of my favorite cars right now. They just got everything so right with that car...

Yes the wheels are stock as they were specified under the build being the Scott McLaughlin limited edition and only 10 were made all for NZ - very exclusive. Check it out

Zero to 60mph are identical for Polestar and Stinger. Stinger should win standing ¼ but Polestar wins 80kph to 120kph.

Volvo S90 is a lovely car but I dislike any vehicle really which has no manual dipstick which is why I am dumping my Volvo V40 T5 for the Stinger.

Well I bet your S60 turns a lot of heads in NZ as exclusive as it is. But wait - you can't check your own oil? I've been hearing about a few cars like this and it's strange...

Most European cars have no dipstick only an electronic readout on the dash which is supposed to read correctly but in my case and in ALL 2015 Drive-e Volvos fails to do so. The Polestar is not Drive-e and has a dipstick.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

How times change. If something were to happen with the engine - like damage - and the readout wasn't accurate - that would be a huge expense that could have been avoided. While the car is under warranty it'll be taken care of by them - but what about future owners? That would be scary...

Not quite - impossible to prove a readout caused low oil and damage as oil lights should come on (but don't) and warranties are not always worth what you think. My case in point warranty denied as the display was designed this way and 'working correctly' so out of court settlement moves me to a Kia and V40 is returned. Future owner will never know unless he stumbles on truth like me. Fortunately Japan US and Korea retain the dipstick and when it boils down why not have both in the car? Why dump a $2 dipstick and say 'we know what is best for you'.

Very true. Well, I'm kinda happy they left out that $2 dipstick because it brought you here. :p I'm glad you found us...
