What oil is everyone using out there, my last oil change was performed w/ PEAK at the dealership. Not familiar with, thinking it may be crap....used to Mobil 1 products.

Peak is a fairly large privately own company that has been in the motorsports business for over 40 years. I'd say the oil they sell is reputable and on par with all the other major brands out there.

I always buy my own oil and take it to oil change places. You get more options, better oil for cheaper and you get a rebate.

Any API SM/ILSAC GF-4 (now GF-5) will provide identical protection for the life of the oil if changed as recommended.

Instead of worrying about which brand, I'd spend more time thinking about which viscosity is going to provide better protection given your location.

My dealership offer free oil changes for as long as I own the car, but this car is too precious for me so I think I'd rather do it myself this time so I know it's done right, clean, and nobody joy rides with it. I'm going to buy a quick jack so I can lift my car.

Where do you guys source your oil filter cartidge? I know I can buy bulk of the regular oil filters, but have been unsuccessful sourcing the cartidge one in bulk.
