Oil change at dealer - concern over fishy business

What was wrong with a standard spinon again? It's been used for ages and works well.
OEM Blue H/K spin on filter costs about about $15 and the cartridge filter is $30.
Increased corporate profits.

Hello,

Thanks everyone for the responses. I have since calmed down, "slept it off" as it were. I measured the oil level and it's good (a bit below full), and it looks fresh and clean. I am certain the oil was changed; and I don't actually have a great reason to believe they may not have used the Amsoil. I was overreacting, as some mentioned. I appreciate the comment that disconnecting the dash cam may be common and I can understand why. I will consider doing my own oil changes down the road, but I will continue to use the dealership for other service needs. Maybe I can establish a stronger relationship with the service manager. I had a very challening last year with a sick kid, he's getting better now. So now....

Going to take some time off work, got some gear that just arrived (HKS spark plugs, JB4 (with EWG and PNP wires), BMS OCC) and Injen intake on the way! Plan on installing over the next month or so. Look forward to continuing to particpate on StingerForum. We'll see you all around.
What side of the country are you on?

Aftermarket filters are about the same price whether spin-on or cartridge. It's really just up to the engine designer and how they want to package the system.

To the OP: an oil change should be about 6 qts. The lube kid probably kept the extra as an early xmas present to himself.

It's 7.3 qts for 3.3

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
7.3 is total capacity. It never fully drains, so an oil chg actually takes about 6.5qt to reach the full line for me (with my car on ramps).

Give it enough time. I leave the drain open for about 20-30min. Always takes me right about 7.3 to fill it to top of the full mark.

Let me tell you about the time I got 7.2-7.4 ish liters using an extractor. Because the dealer grossly overfilled on the prior service… not including oil cooler capacity…….. mudafakars
