Hello Stinger Forum,
I'm a newbie here on the forum and have been looking at Stingers for the past year (should have bought one last spring). I'm currently looking at a certified 2021 GT1. The Carfax report shows a mileage inconsistency.
The last reported mileage at the service center that serviced the car more than once, shows 50K miles, yet the dealer is showing 32K miles in a picture of the odometer. Its a 1 owner car.
I called the service center on the carfax and gave them the VIN, but they said they don't have it in their system.
Does anyone know if its possible to alter the odometer mileage on a Stinger, or run into this issue ?

I've owned 2 Corvettes and 4 Porsche's in the past, so I've researched quite a few cars over the years. Haven't run into this situation before.

I look forward to your comments and feedback.

Cheers!

This is new on the forum, to me at least. If someone does find a way to roll back the odometer I bet they can't hide it. Possibly this dealer tried that.

that is odd that they wouldn't have it in their system given all the services rendered. something's fishy. Not a rare enough car that it's worth the question mark. I'd move on and find another.

Something sounds fcukey. Could be using an older photo, or from a different car. Typo in the VIN? If you really want to sort it out, go see the car in person, maybe look at the service receipts, take photos of the mileage and VIN, then visit the service shop and double check with them.

If things still don't add up, run!

EDIT: Does anyone know if an OBD reader could reveal anything?

Thanks for your comments and thoughts.
I'd look the car over in person, but it's 2,000 miles away from me.
As suggested above, I'll just keep looking. ;) There are a few more out there.
