• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Event NSW Drive No.3, Saturday 14th July 2018

Excellent, look forward to meeting you on this run, hopefully we will get a good roll up of Stingers....come one come all.
Going to let Tegan know our mob here will meet at Glenbrook tourist info centre. Theyre mob are meeting at 8.00am at McGraths hill. We will be closer then them so we can go slower or delay or get to the rendezvous area (tba) first. All cool then.

Sounds good to me, what’s the meet time at Glenbrook TIC?

If they are meeting at McGraths Hill at 8 then likely some laggers there end so perhaps Glenbrook at 830am. Would take half an hour if not more from there to Glenbrook anyway. I hope the weather is good.

The McGraths hill people aren't driving then to Glenbrook. They are going to Bathurst via bells line of rd i presume.
We should try to get to the rendesvous point first. Im trying to make that the Carpark at Lithgow Maccas. Im going to have to estimate there travel time and then ours. Im going to google map it then give us a meet/ leave time at Glenbrook:) ill put in here in a day or so.

Ok sorted, we will meet as requested at Glenbrook tourist information centre, Hammet pl Glenbrook at 8.00am . Looking to depart at 8.15 then onto rendezvous point McDonalds Restaurant Lithgow. There we will meet the rest from the Kia Gt facebook group. I expect to be there at 9.45am. They should be there by 10.00am. Then its off to Bathurst for track and museum . Bring your warm clothes:):)

Weather permitting see you all at 8.00am Sat. 14th July, looking forward to this run & hopefully a good contingent of Stingers.

Just a reminder to all in Sydney/NSW region of this impending drive 14th July to Bathurst, the more the merrier if interested.

Can't wait! Should be a great day.
Hey guys, i want your opinion, but first some background.
With all the talk about paint chips and possible bad paint; as well as the fact that I do the odd freeway trip, I was really concerned about keeping my Stinger in perfect condition! As I'm sure you can concur. So the moment I got it I had the clear coat paint protection wrap installed on the front half of the car. But doubt got the better of me and I also got a car bra custom made for the freeway trips for extra protection. I regret not getting one for my last car which has lots of chips and bug stains...
My question is, do you think I should use the car bra on the drive day? And what do you think of car bra?
I know it's not the most attractive thing... But safety over looks..? Maybe? I don't know haha. I've only had my Stinger for 3 weeks.

Using the bra is entirely up to you, it’s your car & you protect it as you see fit.
The drive to Bathurst is really not fast highway driving once you finish the M4 & get onto the Great Western Highway...but ultimately the choice is yours, go with what makes you feel comfortable with, I appreciate you taking the time to join in the drive.

My one and only bonnet chip to date came on the last car day we had to Singleton. The stone flew up from the member who preceded me whom i was following. (Stinger Gt ss) :p:p. So my answer is defintely wear The bra:laugh::laugh:.

Hey guys,
Got a Stinger GT with bi-modal, looking to take it on a track or really open it up without worrying about the police. I've done putty road a few months back when i first got the Stinger (AMAZING) but bloke at work said take it on a track ideally i need to join a club.... Any recommendations or guidance would be great. Sydney based. Cheers

Hi @Azza Jarvis, we are going for a run on the 14th to a very good track but unfortunately you won’t be able to stretch the Stingers legs while we are there as the police most definitely will be watching.....but you are more than welcome to join us on this run to meet other Kia GT owners, could also be a network work base to help in club based track days etc. just a thought.

Theres been talk by the Kia gt facebook group about two possible tracks they considered for a track day . They put a feeler out regarding people interested. You could jump on there and see if its closer to happening. There was interest. Ps welcome to the forum.

Just a reminder to those interested this run/meet is this Saturday, looking forward to catching up & meeting new owners.

I'll see you all Sat morning but can't stay for full drive.

Excellent, where you coming from, I’m in the group meeting at Glenbrook Tourist Information Centre, the other group coming from up north are meeting a McGraths Hill KFC/Maccas I believe. Can you make the run to Lithgow at least?
BTW, welcome to the forum, what colour did you get & is it a GT?

Yes it is. Those at Mcgrath's hill are the Kia gt and Singer facebook club people which some us are part of. All of us on this forum will be at Glenbrook. There will be Stingers at McGraths hill but also Proceed Gts who formed the club.
