Not Stinger but Kia in the news for fires

And let's hope it stays that way! The tenor of the news piece is that Kias are just rolling bonfires waiting to happen. Remember the Ford Pinto flap? What, half a dozen cars burst into flames from being rear-ended, and the Medía made it look like the Pinto was a rolling molotov cocktail.

Well, then it is a good thing my then 17 yo son totaled our 2014 Santa Fe on election night 2016. No fire risk here.

Yeah but. After all that news nobody drove within 100’ of a Pinto! Clear sailing.
 
News people like to sensationalize things, I feel bad for the folks affected by this and hope H/K will get to the bottom of it. At a time when they are starting to pull in more customers based on their changes, it would be bad if some news outlet do to them what they did to Audi back in the day.
