Just joined and about to get my Kia Stinger GT2 from the dealership this week once it is ready. Looking for good upgrades that strike a balance between daily driving and increased performance. Not looking to drag race or anything, just want to get some nice gains!!

Hey so this is my first post, but here are my thoughts:

I have a JB4 with gapped down Denso plugs, BMS intakes, ADD Oil Catch Can, Badge swap, and Eibach rear sway bar (set to soft), and am now considering an intercooler. I put these on the past month after driving my 2018 AWD GT stock for 28k miles.

They are all great upgrades, and a lot of fun, but if I had to pick just one of them to improve the ride and enjoyability of the platform, it is definitely the Rear Sway Bar.

With the stock bar, the back tends to float and understeer, especially on uneven turns. After the sway bar swap, the ride is so much more sure-footed and confident, without sacrificing virtually any comfort. You can have all the power in the world, but if you cant take turns and control the vehicle like you want (I even felt the float when casually driving from point a to point b), then what's the point?

The bar costs about $300, and I payed a shop with a lift 95 bucks to put it on.

Good luck and have fun my friend! Upgrading your ride is an addictively good time.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your Stinger GT! What will the Stinger be replacing for you? I’m glad you found us. :)

Thanks so much for the insight and it make perfect sense. Don't want to be flying off the road extra fast after upgrades!!!

Will do, unfortunately I drove it 70 miles and hit a huge piece of sheet metal that was stuck in a metal grate and it destroyed two rims and two tires ion the right side. Been waiting on the extended warranty to replace them for a week now because it happened so fast that the paperwork hadn't even been filed yet! Got my dream car and can't even drive it.....output (5).webp

omg! that sucks!!!!

Ugg! that does suck... hopefully you will get it back soon!

Holly shit! wonder who the hell would leave a piece of metal like that on the streets.... Congrats beautiful color, the best color!

A lot of construction on that road right now but honestly it seems to be sheet metal from a pickup truck or something similar. I was also changing lanes so didn't even see it. Honestly, it was black metal in a black grate with a ton of other trash there so probably no way I would have seen it regardless. Just can't wait to get my car back!!!

agreed. I’m looking to add a sway bar to my AWD GT as my next upgrade.
