New valet mode - has anyone got this working?

The newest map software update from Nov 8th 2021 (I believe it's called version 15.5)

Add this feature.






But when trying to access the feature, I get the message saying additional setup is required - must visit www.myuvo.ca

But there is absolutely nothing related to this feature at that site - after logging in.



Also nothing at all listed in the current Kia Connect app.






Has anyone successfully used this new feature?

After calling UVO support - they reset something over the air for my UVO intelligence (Kia Connect) - and the valet mode now works.

This would be very useful for anyone dropping their car off for service. Max speed and distance driven displayed on the screen might be a minor deterrent to anyone using the vehicle inappropriately during a service appointment.

This screen remains until the correct password is entered.

I guess this feature is only new to those of us with older Stingers (2018).

yeah i couldnt really make out what he said, something about "well i cant blah blah blah because they've got valet mode on", he was some whiney mechanic kid.
i dont trust them.

you mean with UVO? yes, you can put it in valet mode using UVO app.

yours is way different than mine! wth? youre gunna have to do some digging. try remote services menu, or do a search within the app if you can. try searching thru help as well. if my 5g internet was working on my phone, id show you a picture of my uvo app.

Since 2018, I've had all the remote start features...

Then last month they renamed it from UVO intelligence to Kia Connect.

Seems different countries get different features

I too got from the Play store...
But it's developed by Kia Canada.

shit, sorry. that sucks. i bet if you contact the canuck uvo peeps or kia or whoever it is, request that valet mode in a software update, the programmers surely can add that easily. i bet you'll get it.

This is what the Kia Access app looks like; valet mode is a slider, or we can set it through the infotainment.

Looks like Kia entirely forgot to include the valet control mode within the app

They updated it now - after my ticket was created.

New app now makes reference to the new feature (at the bottom).

It's amazing how they could announce a new feature in the app before including the feature in the app.

For Those With Issue...Maybe This Will Help!

To use Valet mode, make sure your user profile is linked tp your Kia Connect account. It is not possible to use Valet mode if your profile is set to "Guest." To link your user profile to your Kia Connect account, press, "Setup > User Profile" from the All Menus.

Worked for me as I had to link profile after the app was changed form UVO to Kia Connect.
