Welcome!

I'll second (third?) Merlin & CKeeler's sway bar suggestion as a first mod. I too have just the rear sway at the moment (set to soft), and it's a great mod for relatively little money. I'll probably get the front bar sooner or later.

You might also consider getting PPF/clear bra applied to the front (however much coverage your wallet will accept, it's pretty pricey). Nobody like paint chips!

I plan on getting them as a set. Your the first I read that set it to soft. Have you tested hard and soft? Why you choose soft over hard?

I set it to soft because I cheaped out and only bought the rear bar and didn't want too much stiffness difference between front and back.

When I get the front bar I will set the rear to stiff.

Welcome abaord and congratulations on the upgrade.

As other have stated, Catch cans and sway bars in that order, I would suggest you to do.
Lots of great info on these boards.

Eibach recommendation: soft is for the street. Some on here have said that "hard" produces a ride that they didn't like; too harsh I reckon. Later, I learned about oversteer and understeer. The stiffer the rear bar the more tendency to oversteer.

Absolutely. I didn't think of PPF as a "mod", but that was actually the first thing I had done, all the way back to the windshield.

I just got my car, so I don't know if I'm qualified to answer, but I ordered the OEM mud guards. That'll be my 1st mod. I just didn't like all that road grime splashing up on the body. Probably do the rear sway bar after that. Really helped my Mini JCW a while back.

Arguably, you are MORE qualified to answer, since you are just starting out and making priority decisions on mods.
