Haven’t seen very many in this color And was wondering if there was a good product on the market to keep the black chrome on my mirrors and grill trim nice and clean?

Hi, Jeff. Clean, hot, soft water; use good terry cloth or microfiber. Soft water lifts (neutralizes) the minerals in hard water that causes spotting. So while the minerals are floating in the water beads, the microfiber drying towel wicks them up; no spots. If protection from road damage is what you are looking for, PPF is the only thing. Ceramic does not protect against debris impacts.

Four out of the seven "Stingers [seen] in the wild" that I've seen have been Aurora Black; Panthera Metal (black) is much more rare; I haven't seen one "in the flesh" yet. Panthera Metal is my second choice for color; my wife wanted Silky Silver to make the saline-spattered paint look less ghastly during the winter. :D But I wash my car so often that the issue of grime does not exist.

Welcome aboard. No many on the road in that color. Congratulations.

A quick trick is not letting water dry on the dark chrome pieces after washing the car, a bit difficult not to happen but will help to keep in mind.
In the event water does dry off on the dark chrome and you get water spotting, a quick pass with a MF towel with a couple of sprays of your favorite detailer spray liquid, will get the chrome clean and shiny. I personally have had excellent results with Griot's BOS detailer spray.

Thank you and I appreciate the tip!

Thanks for the cleaning tips! As far as the PPF is there a brand that is the best to use? I’m here in Phoenix Az and the flying rock is our state bird so to speak. So need something that can help reduce those chips for sure.

They're all good. 3M is what I have. Just get a good shop that uses a good product. Xpel, SunTek, are the most used along with 3M.

Hey Jeff, welcome aboard to the Stinger Forums.

Congrats on getting your new ride.

Let us know if there is anything we can help you find.

Best think to do is to polish those chrome areas with a orange or black foam pad then coat with ceramic coat. Did mine and the chronic loks fantastic never stains.
