New to Forum

Great photos @Simmo , of your super shiny Micro Blue Stinger GT, nice Aprilia bike also, maybe we might meet at a future drive day here in Melbourne. Enjoy your new ride.

now to work out how to hold a gear in manual mode!!
So you don't have to go searching for that answer: the short version is: put your drive mode to Sport. The trans will only revert to "D" when you come to a stop. And a pull on the right paddle will return it to "1". (If you had manual gate, like the US GT1 does, the trans stays in displayed gear even at a full stop.)

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I picked up the Stinger just last night. Wow - awesome car, now to work out how to hold a gear in manual mode!!

Here’s a couple of quick photos from this morning. I’ll have some better ones soon. And one of the Aprilia at Phillip Island for @Drudge.

Thanks for the advice @MerlintheMad but it is still reverting to D After manual shifting in Sport mode. It seems to be after coasting for a while - could be 8 seconds or 15 seconds, no obvious logic to it. Maybe it needs a software update, I’ll check with the dealer at the first service.

Phillip Island is a really fast track, which allows you to stretch the legs of a 1000cc superbike. It also hurts when you come off (don’t ask how i know, but I am older and wiser (slower) these days)

You will find that is standard in the Aussie Stingers. There is nothing wrong with it, There is no actual 'real' manual mode unfortunately. It will only hold for a certain time.

To make it stay in manual mode you need to turn traction control off by holding button down.
