New Stinger sideswiped today.

What did it end up costing ? Did they have to replace rear back as well?
I just got it back Friday!! The saga continues, . I got it back with 3 wheels damaged(2019 Canadian 20th anniversary, so only 150 made). Only the 1 wheel was damaged when Les Schwab got it, they also couldn’t match the trim pieces on the doors and damaged my rear view, they’re supposedly going to fix it all right and the shops been great so far. Insurance has been a nightmare, only approving what’s obvious and making the shop send in supplements, we’re now on supplemental number 7! Total is just over $20k
How’d you come out?? Mine got sideswiped yesterday. Front and back right door panels dented. What did yours end up costing. Mine is a 2019 and up until now in PRISTINE condition!!

There's your problem. They started going downhill when they stopped offering free beef.

Crazy right? The insurance company started out at $3400, the first shop I took it too couldn’t even start tearing it down until 2/19. Took it to another shop and they got it in 1/11. They’ve been great but insurance has made them tear down every piece and prove they couldn’t repair before they’d authorize any payments, took 2-5 days at every step for approval then they had to order the parts. The photos were really hard to tell the extent of the damage. The door jamb in rear was all buckled. They had to take apart that whole side and cut/splice/weld back together and paint, replaced both doors, and fascia, side mirror, headlight, door glass, replaced bumper and refinished the wheels, 4 new tires, and alignment, adds up. Ironically enough and to be fair, I hit a cat on the way to the other shop which caused another $1500 in damage at least.

Still, you can buy the whole used stinger for less than that. I guess I'm completely loosing sence in today's prices. Hopefully everything will work out for you in the end. Also, just to be safe, delete that last part. :geek:

nah I claimed it separately and paid the comp deductible like a good boy! it only has 12k miles, may be why but I’m honestly surprised it wasn’t a total loss.

Unbelievable. Both the final twenty-thou and the cat incident piled on. There is no way that you would find a car your age with 12K miles for $20K though. It would be asking close to twice that reasonably. Ironic, that you got sideswiped after putting those door ding guards on. Glad it's all behind you now!
