Definitely, could’ve been a lot worse, kid bounced back across 3 lanes after he hit me and managed to not hit anyone else or hurt himself, I’m sure he learned a lesson! It's all fixable but that stinks.
Painful & totaledPicked up my GT2 a couple months ago after having owned a GT for the last 4 years and 6k miles later a kid in a minivan tried taking me out on a bridge, damnit. I literally picked it up from getting new front tie rods and an alignment yesterday, made it 100 miles.View attachment 83002View attachment 83001

Yup, he was insured and state patrol listed him as responsible, heard back from insurance that they’re covering everything and to get an estimate. I’m bummed because my experience is even with the best body shop it’ll never be the same, maybe I’ll be surprised this time.Hope he or his insurance is paying for it. *Sucks* it happened to your ride!
Is that yours? Damn that’s almost an identical hit. They totaled it?Painful & totaled
16 year old kid not paying attention, did a pit maneuver (on Patrol Live style) back end swung around & hit car infront on 16 year olds truckHope he or his insurance is paying for it. *Sucks* it happened to your ride!

The OP's looks significantly less damaged, and I assuming based on the pictures it was still driveable. The red one obviously wasn't driveable. Sometimes people want them to be totaled though instead of having a car that has been in an accident.Painful & totaled
Sucks. Happened to me in June. Seems like there are a lot of teenage boys hitting our cars.Yup, he was insured and state patrol listed him as responsible, heard back from insurance that they’re covering everything and to get an estimate. Definitely less damaged, my car has significant damage on every panel on the passenger side so it’s probably not too far off as far as what needs replaced. It’s totally drivable, pretty annoying with the bent door frames/seals whistling, lol. There’s also the fact that it will have a wreck on the history and resale/trade value will suffer. The OP's looks significantly less damaged, and I assuming based on the pictures it was still driveable. Dang, I just got back from traveling for work so haven’t gotten an estimate yet, same to you, I hope all goes well getting it fixed!I feel your pain. I had a deer t-bone mine this past Monday. Around 6k$ in damages on drivers side. May the repairs be quick and painless!
That’s me, it may be totally unnoticeable to everyone but I know where to look and it’ll bug the crap out of me.Sucks. Happened to me in June. Seems like there are a lot of teenage boys hitting our cars.
I am with you. Never the same, just those millimeters of difference. No one notices, but I do, I do.
I hope it comes back good for you. I haven’t posted since but I’m battling with insurance, kid that hit me has the same insurance and they tried offering me $3400 last week.Ugh....having one that is only 5 months old and looking at those pics makes me scared to get mine out of the garage![]()
What did it end up costing ? Did they have to replace rear back as well?I feel your pain. I had a deer t-bone mine this past Monday. Around 6k$ in damages on drivers side. May the repairs be quick and painless!
