Hello, my name is Bill. I have been a member of this forum for several months, but have not really posted up to now. Lots of great information. I went to look at a red Stinger at a local dealership in Henderson (Las Vegas), NV and ended up driving away with it. Red leather interior, fun to drive and great to look at. Can't wait to get it on a road trip. I will change badging to the script Stinger in back, with "E" in the front and on wheel caps. I suspect that I will add wheel locks, splash guards and rear Stinger license plate frame.

Congrats on your ride! Man, I got a while to go before getting one. Enjoy the drive!

Hey my man nice ride. wecome to the forum

Welcome aboard, Mr. Chadburn! Thank you for officially introducing yourself. Congratulations on your brand new Stinger! What did the Stinger replace for you?

That's two new NV Stingers in two days on this forum. :D See @1badstinger

Welcome aboard Bill and congrats on your new ride! Which variant of the Stinger? I wanted but couldn’t easily get a red/red. I settled. I have family in Henderson, so I kinda know the area. I’d also look into the mesh DiY stone guards for hole behind the front wheels.
Enjoy!!!

welcome to the forum. congrats on your stinger. post some pics, pre and post mods so we can all salivate more than we already do. in my case, it's drooling, but its an age thing.

The new Stinger GT2 replaced an 2012 Optima EX. On the Optima I had replaced taillights with LED taillights, front switch back turn singles, flying K badges, you know the typical stuff. Came down with a summer head cold last night, so probably won't do much today other than admire the new car. By the way, 4 year old grandson likes Pada's new "red" car....

No, wheel locks are two piece lug nut. The removable part of the lug nut is a "key" which allows for installation or removal of the lug net. Used to protect the wheels from theft. Wheel cap s the star pattern lug not covers. The replacement have the "E" rather than the "KIA" logo..

And each of your wheel nuts has an "E" on it? I am not familiar with the concept of locking lug nuts (always something new).

This is not new. The lug nuts come in a set of four with a “key” that goes in the wrench. You replace one nut on each wheel. Without the key which fits in the grooves of the nut you can’t tighten or loosen the nut on the wheel. The dealers like to include a set and jack up the price a lot. Generally a set can be had for under $50 except at a dealer. LOL.

Not sure if Sal has a set for sale, if he does a link here would be good.

Obviously. But it is to me.

So, the key has the "E"?
There’s no E on the actual nuts. The center cap has the E. That’s the decorative plastic thing covering the nuts. Says KIA on the original.

Welcome and Congrats on your Stinger!
