My name is John Lumsden. I live in Newport News VA. I am originally from Los Angeles. I’ve grown up driving a lot of luxury sports cars and driving in the Hollywood hills. Have driven all around the country. Loved my first car (2010 Mustang V6), and loved my second car (2015 Chrysler 200S AWD), but now just bought a 2019 Stinger GT1 AWD. What a dream this car is.

Yes indeed awesome car, I fell in love with my Stinger since the day I saw her, Congrats and welcome.

Haha ok not to be rude as I respect car enthusiasts of all ranges .. but coming from those 2 cars to a stinger ... well did it hurt popping the speed cherry

Lol. Yea I mean it’s a bit too fast but that’s what I wanted and I have experience driving cars with this kind of speed. We have a family Maserati I get to drive a few times a year in Los Angeles.

To fast is my middle name. But seriously I think of the stinger as the real life 'fast car benchmark' like if a car is faster then it is a fast car and if its slower it is ot a fast car. The stinger just sits right on the line (13.0 awd quarter mile says it all)

Thanks. I see that your profile name is Genesis G70, did you used to drive one?
I test drove the G70 I loved it to death but they did not have the color and interior I wanted and did not want to wait in the mean time I fell in love with my Stinger and bought it instead of the G70, you can't go wrong with either.

I loved the Genesis as well but I travel a lot so I needed to space and the Genesis was a bit tight for trunk room. I also liked the way the Stinger drove a bit more. The way I see it is, the Stinger is like a thoroughbred horse compadres to other performance vehicles like a Porsche or Ferrari which are like Mustangs. They drive like they want to go fast all the time but the Stinger can easily be a race car as well but can also sit at 50 mph and cruise and look pretty.

Now having my Stinger it makes me think about making this a new hobby since there are a lot of things you can do to it. Am now going to become a true car enthusiast

Best driving experience of my life. First brand new car. My hobby has been getting to know my car over the last year. It's still just as much fun as when I first bought it. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome!

Super happy you're loving your Stinger. It's quite a good vehicle and rare enough where the community isn't too pretentious yet. :P
