New Sting

Hey folks I want to say hello and introduce myself. I just bought a 2020 Stinger GT Indigo edition yesterday. Thank you to everyone who posts on this forum. I got most of my research here. Car and Driver only goes so far.
FYI
I was driving it home from the dealer and a BMW 3 series rev’d me at a stop light. So I know I should break in the motor nice and easy but I had no choice. I smoked that german bratwurst. Not sure if anyone has done it yet, but I want to make a sticker that says “If you are reading this you just got beat by a Kia hatchback”

I gunned it out of the dealer's lot (they have a very long "driveway"). Then read the part in the manual about the break in period; I was a stickler on break in protocol after that. Welcome to the forum.

Yeah thx, believe it or not right now that’s the only color available in so cal if you want a GT trim with AWD. I think there was one all black one floating around, but that is not fun when it’s really hot.

I wanted black (over the white color I ended up getting) and I live in one of the hottest places in the USA. I wanted to murder out my vehicle.

Nice, I also traded in a WRX for Indigo Blue last week! I actually have to return WRX as close to stock this weekend. So far I am really enjoying the Stinger. WRX was raw and I would wager close to as quick, but the Stinger is just so smooth and polished on the inside.

Congratulations and welcome! I noticed your pics show DCH Temecula? I looked at them back when I was first shopping and their inventory was abysmal. Maybe they wised up.

Yeah that’s where I bought it. They only had 2 Stingers in stock but one was all I needed lol. Low inventory but great service, no complaints from me. I was going through the Costco program but because it had the Indigo package it wasn’t part of the Costco savings. But they gave it to me at dealer invoice anyways, plus all the rebates on top of that.

Congrats man. These cars are great right! I’m not sure which Stinger you have, but the 3.3t w/ AWD puts my old subie to shame. I will miss the raw aspect of driving it though, mostly not having a manual transmission anymore. But the Stinger I feel like is a more grown up and classy. Which car would you rather take your date out in? Hint, she’s gunna want the fancy one.

When I went there all they had was two four cylinders and fully loaded GT2. They didn’t want to work with me on pricing for getting a sunset yellow Stinger. I didn’t end up getting a yellow Stinger, but got a better deal at Covina Kia. Glad it worked out for you.

I have the 3.3 AWD same as you and I agree, I miss a little bit of the manual and the rawness at times. I liked having an exhaust and some burbles/pops. But now with the Stinger my wife wants to drive it all the time. She doesnt drive manual, so the WRX was mine. Congrats again though!
