(Lucille is my car ;))

A couple of weeks ago I ordered a set of wheels from @GetYourWheels. Josh provided excellent customer service. I made several changes to tire sizes and brands and bugged him almost daily for updates and he always replied promptly and never seemed to be annoyed by my pestering. I recommend anyone shopping for wheels to give him a call.

Wheels: Vertini RF 1.1
Wheel sizes: 20x9 +35 front. 20X10.5 +45 rear.
Tires: Nitto NT555G2
Tire sizes: 245/35 and 285/30

I placed the order August 2nd. Vertini had to make the wheels to my specs and then get them over to the folks at www.getyourwheels.com for them to be wrapped and balanced. From there I had to endure a long 6 days for them to travel from CA to NC.

The wheels are finished in Vertini's Gloss Black Machine Tint, which is pretty close to the black chrome on the car. From certain angles it has a goldish-bronzish tint to it.

The car will be lowered Monday to close up that gap a bit.

Pics...(I realized when I got home that I had only 1 picture of the passenger side of the car . Rest assured it looks the same as the driver side)

But watch out when buying new shoes remember what Kenny Roger's said: " You picked a right time to leave me loose heal"....... Sorreeeeee:D:D

Go for it! It only took Vertini a week or so to make them.

If you drop the rear offset any with the 10.5 inch rear I think it will stick out farther than the fender. And for some reason they don't have a 10 inch offering.

I'll take more pics some time next week to show the new stance.

Excellent wheel choice @Kamauxx Great job.

Now you need to get that roof wraped to tie in all the back accents.

Thanks.

The plan was to have the roof painted when I brought the car in to have those side reflectors done but I couldn't justify the $1100 expense.

The place I'm bringing my car to for the springs also installs window tint so I'm going to see how much they'd charge for a wrap.

@Kamauxx yes that was my conundrum since I wanted to go 275 on a 10... but once you lower I’ll get to see the 285 10.5 since imnon eibachs

@Kamauxx my advice on the roof wrap - make sure you have a garage! I parked my other car outside for 5 years and the sun and elements (bird poop tree sap etc) ate away at the wrap... and don’t go more than a couple days without wiping it down clean.. maintenance will prolong. Lesson learned for me, ended up just painting the roof since the substrate got messed up

That scares me. And that's why I originally wanted to have it painted.

I do park in the garage but don't want to worry about cleaning the roof multiple times a week.

Dilemmas...

Someone posted pics here recently of their car lowered on 285s and 10.5. His offset might be different though.

I don't recall who it was but I think it was posted in this section over the last month.

I literally had to scrape it off vs peel. Now that was also 7 years ago so maybe materials are much more durable. Regardless constant maintenance will be needed. On your car color, w/ all the expensive parts and accessories you’ve put on, I’d save up and paint. Do it right the 1st time my mother always says lol
