New Owner

Hi from Ohio,

Just got my 2022 Stinger GT-Line AWD with the Sun & Sound Package and red leather interior option. Looking forward to talking with all of you and hearing feedback from those who have had their Stinger's for a while!
Nice. These are really nice cars with features standard that you'd pay thousands extra for on an Audi, BMW, MB, etc. Really competent package. I'm really enjoying the sound too, it's very clear, noticeably so.

Looked at gt2 in 2020 coming from Genesis Sedan sharing modified M3 platform with stinger. Nice package of handling, performance and practicality. Then caught deal on 1 year old 2019 camaro ss 6.2l 20k miles for 31.5k. 4 sec. FF to last month when Carmax offered me 40 for it, figured share my wife's Q5 until shortage unwinds. But found 22 stinger gt line well under sticker and 1k rebate. Skeptical of 2.5l but ran back to back vs 3.3l. 2.5 has slightly less turbo lag even after discounting the torque difference that amplified lag feeling with more power from 3.3. Coming from 450hp in a 3700# car, think my perspective on 2.5 vs 3.3 is realistic. The extra 60 hp 3.3 vs 2.5 is there but far less significant than I expected. 0-30 which is what I ask, it's not a big difference, 2.5 runs out pedal down after about 65mph, 3.3 pulls harder. 2.5 is a bit more nimble, lighter front end. I'm comparing awd to awd. So I bought gt line 2.5, saved about 14k from gt2. Having had nappa, power bolsters and thigh extension, heads up display, vent seats, etc on my Genesis, only gt2 option I'll miss is the overhead camera view.

^^^ Nice introduction. I like reading details about the 2.5L, which is the most intriguing change to the Stinger that Kia came up with. Welcome to the forum.

I'm only sad it serves as it's epitaph, little chance we'll see a '23 stinger unless Sohari builds more than demand this year and they get sold as '23's...

Define well under sticker? :) Is this the awd or rwd, sunroof?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

My out door was 42 and change, sun and sound, upgrade paint, awd. GT2 has 1500 rebate but not much budge on price that I found. A full gt2 awd is 55k less 1500 rebate plus ttl. The nearest Hyundai dealer was msrp +2k on Santa Fe's. It's nutty. My needs are hold a bike inside and was tempted my Mazda CX-5 2.5l turbo top trim at 40k plus ttl but a Stinger vs CX-5? Stinger cargo cap is both large and usable because the hatch hinges way forward.

I think you got a better deal than me. My cost was something like $37,5 + TTL. No sun/sound but do have the ceramic silver paint (why that's an upgrade at $500 is beyond me) and AWD.

I still haven't beat the crap out of it yet (full throttle + kick down). Just no place around here to drive like that.

Watch the seatbelts when you fold the seats like that. They have a tendency to leave imprints in the leather.
