New owner from France

Bienvenue - quite the change from the RX hybrid!

Weird that Kia France stopped selling the Stinger (or was it just the 3.3TT?) due to high CO taxes, since it's still offered in other European countries with even higher CO tax rates.

That’s why the Stinger needs a hybrid (even if a 48V system), if not a full electric.

Hi,
Taxes are 1/3 of the price in 2020, will be 2/3 in 2021, making the car hit 100.000€. No more Stingers in France, even diesel.
The Stinger is already pretty heavy, with hybrid it will be as heavy as the Lexus RX.
Cylinders on demand would be a better idea, the Lexus hybrid wasn't very good at constant (legal) highway speed for long trips

Are you interested to trade your red interior with a black one?

No, my wife didn't want me to buy an all red, in and out, Stinger. Red interior was my favorite vs the all black Stinger i tried a few days before.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Are you planing to make some mods?
It's a family car (baby and dog included), so it needs to be discreet and comfy.
Maybe some carbon pieces, red inside and black outside, tinted windows, black rims, exhaust with command to make some noise on demand.
I will wait a few weeks to see if the Stinger and I get along well before making changes.
I like sport cars that you overlook at first sight. No huge fin or lawn mower style . Even if great when done well.

So, that basically brings Stinger (3.3TT) prices up to the level in Scandinavia.

Germany has been the largest market for the Stinger in Europe, but with rising taxes there (and only the V6 being offered going forward) - sales will be slashed.

Was thinking a 48V hybrid system with the 2.5T motor would keep the weight increase down, but evidently, Kia didn't think that projected sales warranted the cost of development (much less, just offering the 2.5T motor in Europe).

Bonjour, voila & Eiffel tower! Moi Dcb.
