It’s made up by a non Kia affiliated site. This has 0% chance of being the new Optima.

“so the adjacent rendering courtesy of Kolesa.rucan be labeled as being purely speculative.”

The head lights are a bit too... squinty. The current gen's design is a refinement over the previous gen. After seeing the new Sonata, I suspect Kia have something more radical in mind.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
There is little doubt that Kia will want to run with a styling pattern that links their cars as a "family".

I don't see that render as being too close to a Stinger to be honest. There are certainly worse looking cars out there, and certainly more extreme third party renders of what an upcoming car may look like!

I hope it doesnt look like the Stinger.

IMO No more or less than every other Kia. Their leaning into the tiger shark theme I love it
I think its more in the verticle vents and lights that reference the Stinger .........looking at newer model intros/updates like K900 , Telluride , Soul , they seem prepared to explore a range of newer design language that lets every model stand alone with just the Tiger Nose grill as a touch point for the brand ............

I don’t understand where folks com duo with this tiger shark business, some press people (seemingly non-car folks) have said this and I guess this is why it’s being repeated. The grill design was based on how a Tiger’s nose looks and the design has evolved over time to fit sedan and CUV/SUVs. I’m curious to know what on KIA vehicles looks like a tiger shark, shark fin antennae excluded, lots of cars use that.

... and these people get paid to come up with this BS.

Looks a heck of a lot better than the Lexus "Big Mouth Billy Bass" look!

You got the tiger nose portion down, which is where Peter was coming from, not "Tiger Shark" as some call it.

I think he meant tiger nose but mispoke.

Getting back to the Optima, I think Kia will design it to mimic more of the K900s design language than the Stinger's.

Seriously, the "rendering" doesn't look anything like the Stinger. The only similarities I see is they both have a KIA badge.
