Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. S5 Sportback, huh? It sounds like the Stinger GT would be a great fit for you. Any reason for potentially leaving Audi?

The S5 is a great car. Near perfect really. But If I can get even 80% of the same performance for $15k less, I will jump on that after my current lease is up.

I've also cross shopping with the Genesis G70, whenever that makes it the US.

The ONE thing that prevents the 2018 B9 S5 from being a perfect car is throttle lag/hesitation in anything but Sport mode. Makes it feel like a bigger car than it really is when you're trying to quickly change lanes, take a left or merge from a stop in heavy traffic. It's younger sibling, the A5 with the DSG/DCT doesn't have that issue.

I know the G80 Sport has had some throttle/transmission hesitation issues as well, so I'm really interested is seeing how the Stigner and G70 handle normal daily driving when not in Sport mode.

I test drove the a5 sportback as well as the s5. Then the stinger. And that same day I signed papers for the stinger. Dont get me wrong the Audi are great cars. But I couldn't justify paying $20k extra for virtually the same car. There was nothing that was worth the extra money. I also found the back seats to me less roomy compared to the stinger. Ans I feel like the stingers trunk is also bigger. The only thing the s5 had on the stinger was rear heated seats and the virtual cockpit. Which was a total gimmick for me and not worth the money.

But those massaging seats doh....

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Agree with you on the Virtual cockpit. It's really cool, but ultimately a gimmick. Where the S5 beats the Stinger is in the amazing sports differential (
). Makes handling around curvy roads at high speeds in dynamic mode a dream. The car turns in like it's on rails.

The bigger reason why I got the S5 over the Stinger was that I prefer the looks of the S5 SB, but that's subjective and likely not worth the extra $15K.

Welcome slides! You got one sweet ride in the S5. By the time yo are ready to make a switch, KIA should have resolved any issues reported with the vehicle. I don't own a Stinger but based on past experience, they typically take care of thins in the next generation if they get enough complaints.
