Hi, I am about to collect my late 2020 Stinger GTS and am quite keen to install a JB4. However, here in the UK we get an unlimited 7 year warranty which I definitely don't want to invalidate so will need to remove the whole set-up every 6 months when it goes in for servicing
That's a pain so I am keen to establish that there is no trace left of having ever installed any such device
I am still reading through the info hear but have seen reference to 'fuel wires' being worthwhile to get the most out of the JB4 but see on the JB4 sellers listings that these are now already fitted.
Does that mean I really only need to plug the JB4 connectors into the stock ones and there's no extra messing about with tapping into the car's wiring?
I guess the JB4 kit has been evolving so the reason I ask is that it is possible it is simpler to install than a when many of the posts here were created.
Finally, I ought to stress I am not used to doing this sort of thing and don't possess the skills many of you here clearly do so I am looking to keep this whole process as simple as possible but also be able to choose Maps. If I buy the mobile adaptor and wire it into the JB4 unit as per the videos I can find online does that also avoid tapping into any additional stock wiring? I'm not bothered about data logging. All I really want is to be able to selct Maps to settle on the one I want
I also want the car to retain its full 'Mode Selector' functionality to be able to put it into Eco for longer boring journeys, etc, with all the benefits that brings including the gearbox coasting facility which I found really good on a previous BMW
Many thanks in advance for any responses.
