Howdy! I've had my 2021 Stinger GT for almost 2 months now. I've made a post or two already and appreciate the advice I've ben given so I figured it's about time I make an introduction post.

I'm a native Austinite and still live in the Austin area (technically in Leander). I actually wasn't looking to get a new car for another year as I was enjoying having all 4 cars payed off but then my wife was in an accident in her Nissan Pathfinder when a high school girl leaving the school decided that yielding the right of way was overrated.

My wife hit her broadside at 40 mph and both my wife's vehicle and the girls Charger was totaled. The importing though was nobody was hurt. We were put in a position where we needed to get a new vehicle ASAP and I let my wife pick what she wanted with the only stipulation was that it was a 4 door as it was replacing our SUV and under $40k. We had planned to get a KIA K5 a year from now but she wanted to look at other options.

Ultimately it came down to looking at used Lexus E350, Genesis G70, and Kia Stingers (both GT and GT-line). We test drove one of each and to my surprise, she chose the red Kia Stinger GT we test drove. I thought for sure she'd go for the Lexus E350 but nope, she fell in love with the red Stinger GT.

Personally I couldn't be happier as the last fun car I owned was a new 2006 Charger Dayton in GoMango orange that I loved, but had to sell once my so was born. Since then it's been all practical cars. :(

Now that we have a fun car, I've already added a JB4 tuner and BMS intakes with spark plugs and oil can waiting to be installed next. I'm loving this car so far and look forward to owning it for years to come.

Welcome aboard! Officially… And thank you for signing up. I’m glad you found us! And I’m glad your wife wasn’t hurt in the accident - and that she picked a Stinger GT. I hope it serves you both well. Leander is a nice area. Growing quite a bit these days.

what a cool story, with a happy ending and beginning.

Welcome and enjoy your new ride! Glad no one's was hurt in the accident.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Hey @RWTD_Burn,

The test drive stings again, it seems like once you get a taste, no other cars will give you the same feeling.

You are definitely on the right track in modifying your Stinger, what are your future plans with the car?

The K8 Stinger Store offers all the performance and cosmetic parts you could want.

Let me know if you have any questions, I would be more than happy to help.

Not much more planned as far as performance goes except I may look at adding a sway bar down the road. Aesthetic wise I have the "E" badge already that I'll be using to replace the front badge then I'll be looking to get either the "E" wheel caps or red "GT" decals for the wheel caps. If I get a sway bar kit all be keeping you in mind.
