Howdy! I've had my 2021 Stinger GT for almost 2 months now. I've made a post or two already and appreciate the advice I've ben given so I figured it's about time I make an introduction post.
I'm a native Austinite and still live in the Austin area (technically in Leander). I actually wasn't looking to get a new car for another year as I was enjoying having all 4 cars payed off but then my wife was in an accident in her Nissan Pathfinder when a high school girl leaving the school decided that yielding the right of way was overrated.
My wife hit her broadside at 40 mph and both my wife's vehicle and the girls Charger was totaled. The importing though was nobody was hurt. We were put in a position where we needed to get a new vehicle ASAP and I let my wife pick what she wanted with the only stipulation was that it was a 4 door as it was replacing our SUV and under $40k. We had planned to get a KIA K5 a year from now but she wanted to look at other options.
Ultimately it came down to looking at used Lexus E350, Genesis G70, and Kia Stingers (both GT and GT-line). We test drove one of each and to my surprise, she chose the red Kia Stinger GT we test drove. I thought for sure she'd go for the Lexus E350 but nope, she fell in love with the red Stinger GT.
Personally I couldn't be happier as the last fun car I owned was a new 2006 Charger Dayton in GoMango orange that I loved, but had to sell once my so was born. Since then it's been all practical cars.
Now that we have a fun car, I've already added a JB4 tuner and BMS intakes with spark plugs and oil can waiting to be installed next. I'm loving this car so far and look forward to owning it for years to come.
