New GTS Owner

Hey everyone! I've had my eye on Stingers for a long time and have finally joined the club. I bought my 2019 GTS on 4/2/22 with just under 18k miles on the clock. My G37 coupe was approaching 150k miles and was missing a lot of modern features and conveniences. I recently started a new job that is going to require more time in the car so it seemed the right time to upgrade.

The GTS is a little more base than I was originally thinking of going, but I was given a very good offer on my trade-in and I was quite taken with the orange paint and Alcantara touches. Looking forward to racking up the miles in this beauty and joining the community.

Howdy and welcome. Fed Orange is my favorite color, in pics: I've seen exactly one of them in the more than four years that I've owned my Stinger, for about two seconds in passing, heh. Of course, before the 2019 GTS, the only Fed Orange I'd seen was the SEMA show car in the promo book: which I flashed at the sales people and said, "I want that color", and was told I could not have it: and I countered with, "Special order one", and they said not possible: and then the sales manager said, "Hey, if you lease a Stinger from us, you can repaint it any color you like", and that ended the discussion. I doubt it'll ever happen: Silky Silver works for me.

Welcome. I bought my 2019 GTS new right before Covid and really got a great price as compared to today's selling insanity. You will enjoy the vehicle especially in Sport mode and be prepared for lots of compliments and questions.

Thanks for the welcome. Glad you were able to scoop one before the price apocalypse. I overpaid a little, but not enough to feel too badly about. As soon as I sat in the car I knew I was taking it home. It felt a little more responsive and tighter than other Stingers I test drove. Could have just been my mood that day. Or maybe I preferred the static suspension in this car as compared to the adjustable in the higher end trims I checked out.

I used Bridgewater Kia for the fuse box recall, but other than that I do my own work and oil changes. The only shop I used was Signature Detailing for ppf….something I should have done immediately.

I’ve been to Sansone. Their Stinger Tech is an extremely smart guy, he’s been very busy working on Stingers. I never trust dealerships, but at least I know he’s competent and won’t hurt my car.

+1 for Signature Detailing for PPF and paint correction. Greg is the absolute best.

Absolutely not. He told me Kia reps come out to verify warranty issues with Stingers and it’s best not to show up with mods. Cat back is safe, maybe intake, I say don’t risk it.

Welcome and very nice car! I love the orange. I think it's highlights the lines of the car in a way that lengthens its appearance. Gorgeous. I've never seen one in person but wish I had. Fact is, where I live, you just don't see many of these cars. Makes it nice when you're the only one people are looking at but it also points out how underappreciated these cars are.
