New GT2 owner in Michigan

Welcome fellow Michigander! Crazy weather here in GR, picking up my GT2 today in Kalamazoo, hoping I make it back alright We'll see how good it is in the snow and ice, has the all season tires which is good.

Congrats and welcome! You will be happy with some good winter tires on that ride, I wanted some Nokian but wasn't be able to source them fast enough before getting my car.

Be careful with those Bridgestones, they aren't the best tires out there for the ice and snow.

Cool! I got my red GT2 at Seleye's Battle Creek store. I wanted to compare the GT2 to a 2.0L Premium and they were going to bring one over from the KZoo dealership but brought over a black GT. Although they showed they had a 2.0L in stock on the BC website, apparently they didn't. Ended up buying the '18 GT2.

I drove mine on some snow with the summers earlier this week and they were fine. Much better than many have claimed they would be. Got the Notto AS put on today. They were good for the 25 miles I have on them.

I would suggest running it in comfort or smart mode so that you get a better awd ratio for snowy road driving.

Smart mode for me when the roads are getting clogged with slush and worse. It has all the advantages of Comfort, plus Eco shifting and it "learns" how you approach driving in the "war zone".

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

The only annoying thing about smart mode is the car doesnt stay in smart mode after you turn it off. I always forget to turn it back on

I agree... but I'm getting used to turning the knob as the first thing I do after getting in.

Just leased a new 2018 Stinger GT2. Coming from a Subaru WRX for the last 4 years. First Kia of any flavor. I put about 75 miles on it driving home so I'm still learning -- so far, it is a lot of fun.
Welcome! Congrats on your new Stinger GT!
