Just leased a new 2018 Stinger GT2. Coming from a Subaru WRX for the last 4 years. First Kia of any flavor. I put about 75 miles on it driving home so I'm still learning -- so far, it is a lot of fun.

Welcome! AWD I assume? Color?

Welcome! Good to see another Michigander. What part of the state? I know there's a few guys over on the east-side/Detroit area, but based on my Stinger sightings - or lack thereof - I seem to be nearly alone over here in western MI. Have only seen one silver 2.0 since I purchased in May.

It is a red exterior with black(?) interior. GT2, so yes AWD.

Dewitt -- just north of Lansing

Hi. Summer is coming. :)

Used to live on Wood Road, then Okemos, after I moved down there from the UP. Daughter #2 now lives in Grand Ledge w/hubby and my 2 grandbabies. I'll keep my eye out for that GT2 next time I'm over that way!

Congrats! Betting you wish you had heated steering wheel right now.

The Stinger heats-up great. I run it for a few minutes before the morning commute while I down a glass of OJ and make a cup of coffee for the drive. Seat, steering wheel, and heater are toasty by then. I have actually left it in the garage the last few days because of the nasty roads. Not because it can't handle it, but because I don't want one of the many knucklehead drivers sliding into it. I'm taking the 'ol 2009 Sorento back/forth to work. I'll have the Stinger back on the road this weekend. Hard to believe but it's supposed to get to 42 F by Sunday, after -15 last night. A 57 deg diff. A "bi-polar vortex"?

Welcome and congrats. I’m down near Indianapolis and also enjoying these frigid temps outside. Had to start it up last night at -8, after sitting all day while at work.

No, AWD comes with heated Steering Wheel.

Doesn't gt2 come with heated steering?
Yes, it does. Have not had a chance to use it yet though. Drove a little today with our 40*+ heatwave but still waiting on my Nitto all seasons to come in. The arctic cold snap put a delay on them.

No winter tires for you, then? Brave man from Michigan! Drive carefully.

Since we are 1/2 way through winter, figured I would take a chance with all seasons -- definitely better than the stock summers.

Had winters on my WRX and it was great for winter, but having summer tires on in November and March/April is always a risk. When the stock summers wore out on the WRX I got a set of BFG g-Force COMP-2 A/S that did well for 3 seasons and were pretty good for up to 3" of snow but were noisy. Figured to see how the Nittos do for the rest of winter/spring and decide if I need true winters next fall. Hopefully the Nittos are quieter than the BFGs -- and wear a little better too.

Mine are quieter than the Pilots are, and more comfortable riding too; cornering is real good but of course not quite up to the grip of Pilots.

Winter driving is very steady at reduced speed. Just remember that they are UHP A/S, which means that softer A/S will grip better. The compromise of the Nitto Motivos is better grip on dry roads; but slower going on snowy/icy roads.
