I just picked up my GT1 RWD this weekend. I come from the Toyota World where I have built a SEMA FJ Cruiser, owned 2 supercharged Tundras. 2015 Platinum and a 2017 TRD Pro that I just traded. I'm not new to modding. I think I've modded everything, that has wheels and some without, that I have owned. I will probably do a few things to this one too. Mostly performance and a few cosmetics. I was going to get something like a TRD Camry or Avalon, but they just don't have the excitement in the gas pedal. The Tundra was a beast, supercharged. Especially since I did some other things to it. I had fun running it, at the sand drags and it definitely held its own there. I included pics of a few of my builds. Anyhow, I'm here to get some knowledge and find out who makes the good stuff for the Stinger. First will be intake/exhaust and chip. I'm all ears.. Thanks IMG_7624.jpeg

Welcome and nice ride!

Howdy and welcome. That's about all I have, since my Stinger is bone stock in the drivetrain department. :D

The Eibachs are probably the most popular, (and what I went with) but truthfully I didn't look at any alternatives

These cars sure like nice in red! Welcome :)

The Eibach sway bars have the grease zerk... that's handy. Stock exhaust note is underwhelming so adding a catback is up there on the list as well. Borla makes a loud one, Stillen is kinda on the tamer side. I went with the MBRP and couldn't love it more. So many available mods for this car- welcome to SA. (Stinger's Anonymous). If my wife calls, I'm not here.

I think I may have found a precursor to doing a cat-back and getting a little more throat out of the system. Doing the secondary downpipes will help and get a little more aggressive sound out of it without cabin noise. They are also on sale.. I ordered the swaybar and links in the pictures below, plus I did The Burger Tuning kit pictured below that's suppose to get in the neighborhood of 450hp at the wheels. Last but not least will be wheels and tires. Looking at the Varintr Kryptons, with Continental Extreme contact DWS 06 Staggered . thoughts?

Say less Don- you are doing it right. The down pipes will get you a deeper tone... even on stock mufflers. I worried about back pressure (or lack thereof) so went catback only. I got the whiteline endlinks, just went with the Eibach for the grease zerk. Those are going on when the ARK (Gt-F) lowering springs and ATQ subframe bolts come in. Those wheels are you picked out are proper. In the spring I might try squaring mine up- but those wheels with the red caps.... I like it. A lot. The JB4 is gonna have you fall more deeply in love with her.

Glad to hear I am aiming in the right direction. I try to follow the "buy once, cry once" moto, because it gets too expensive, to rebuy stuff Thanks

The TRD Avalon is such a good looking car, I wish they did more than just enhance the exterior. A true sports sedan version of the TRD Avalon would so cool. AWD with the 5.0L V8 and stiffer suspension.

Even if they did a twin turbo V-6, it would have been better than what they offer. Toyota is suffering from boring, TRD badging, but nothing to back it up. this is the first non Toyota i have bought in 13 years.

I looked over some of your stuff. I am at the crossroads for what to do with my exhaust. Not looking for constant loud and drone. I thought about a few possible directions. Changing secondary downpipes and leaving the stock exhaust. The twist to this would be to add cut-outs. Has anyone gone that route? Is there a negative to electronic cut-outs in the performance department? Also, where would be the best place to install them, for performance. that is? Otherwise, the Thermal R&D sounds like it may be a good fit. Listening to the sound clip and seeing the Helmholtz resonators, to eliminate drone. Any thoughts on this?
