Hey everyone. Just introducing myself. Bought my 2022 GT1 RWD in micro blue mid december. So far I'm loving it. Definitely will need some tweaks done to tame the float/bouncy rear. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with it. I'm coming from a 2009 Scion xB manual with TRD clutch and LSD diff. Prior to that was a 1999 and 2000 Sebring JXi (1999 was totaled by a drunk driver), and prior to that was a Ford Bronco (full size) which was basically given to me. I always wanted something a little more on the sporty side and I finally got it. Was trying to decide between this and the Lexus IS 350 F sport. It seemed for the price, the Kia was the no brainer choice.

Besides sway bars, I'm trying to decide if I really want to do much more to the car. I was thinking maybe intake, but from reading it seems like they're mostly for the sound and less for the performance.

Howdy and welcome. I have Eibach sways (rear first, then a year and a half later the front: that was an even more dramatic addition than just the rear bar). Those are the only mod I've done.

Congrats and welcome…
Sways definitely recommended. Favorite mod is mbrp ss exhaust with midpipe combo for sound and performance upgrade

Hey bfglitch,

Welcome to the Stinger Forum and congrats on your new Stinger!

I am sure the 2022 GT1 is a welcome upgrade from your 2008 Scion xB.

I would suggest looking into Ark Performance Sway Bars (Click HERE) to help dial in the suspension.

We also have a lot of other great products for your Stinger available on our website at www.K8StingerStore.com.

Enjoy the new ride,

Daniel @ the K8 Stinger Store
