I keep my sunglasses in the pocket just in front of the armrest because it is easy to access while I'm driving, and I can also put my regular glasses there when I have the sunglasses on

I have one of those little sun visor clips that holds my sunglasses. Works great. Used it in my previous car and brought it over to the Stinger. $5 has last me about 10 years

What additional electronics? Does the facelift come with any new lane keep / safety tech?

After looking through the forum, turns out it's just the UVO Connect Buttons that caused the elimination of the sunglass pocket.

Kind of a lame reason to remove it.

IIRC, it is actually the larger UVO radio that lives up there.

Ah, ok, the UVO makes sense. And, since we don't have it in Europe it seems we still get the sunglasses holder over here. These pics below are from my local Kia website.

Agreed. I'll never use those buttons. Never used OnStar and never used whatever the Subaru version was called.

Sunglass holder, though, I'd use.
