After work , headed to the local pub...throw 10 bucks at keno...and have a few pints.....so I'm sippin the beer, then I get a tap on the shoulder....uh oh here it comes....the drunk wanting to bum a cigarette or whatever,,,,,No He asks if the car in the parking area is my stinger!!!

He was gonna buy me a drink , but I was already set up.......He wanted to race bad, but I could tell he was buzzed......(his ride was a v-6 infinity sedan ...not sue on the model. ) As I was leaving I said take it to watkins glen, then maybe..........I floored it as I left , They were all watching ,and envious.

I’m sorry to sound like a nagging parent, but you sound like you also had a bit to much to drink. I hope you made it home safe. This car has a lot of power and showing off while intoxicated can be dangerous in any vehicle. I’m a trauma nurse and we see far to many drunk drivers come in with terrible injuries after they shouldn’t be driving.

Anyway, I hope you made it home safe, sorry to sound judge-y.

He most likely would have beat you pretty badly.

At least you didn't do the Mustang Shuffle and hit a row of parked cars as you sped away.

A couple things and I do agree btw, 1st I'm 230 5'11....so 2 pints of beer in an hour is not even close to inebriated, 2nd, although the post sounds like a delinquent child burning out and going sideways.....rest assured The 2.0 awd won't do a burnout....and when I floored it ,it was a straight line, quick acceleration with out the smoke and noise.
For the record...some of us on here can have a little fun and still be safe about it. As for being a trauma nurse ,I am and will always have the deep respect for your service and work. But I won't be a client anytime soon, :)

Oh I know, and I wasn’t trying to sound like I was nagging. The text and way it was written reminded me of the way I used text when I was younger and drank a lot more.

Oh it’s awesome when people ask about it. I live in a small town outside of a larger small city. Happens a lot and I love it.

Just to be sure, You are absolutely right, there is no place for excessive drinking and a set of car keys....sadly I'm betting you get more calls on texting than drinking these days.......

with a car license .08...with a cdl (commercial driver license) .02....
It depends on the cop which way he goes if a cdl holder gets pulled over , supposedly they are to revert back to a regular license but who knows these days.

Oh wow that's nuts since your over in aussie land
Yes it is nuts, my baby girl went to college over there & now teaches in Odessa.

Well @rocket23 description threw me, going to the pub, playing keno & having a few pints...wtf I would have sworn he was either from OZ or the UK & not the US.

Well you aussie's have a way with words........just thought I'd blend in a bit. lol

Earlier this year, Utah lowered its blood-alcohol content for driving under the influence from 0.08 percent to 0.05 percent, the first state in the country to adopt the tougher limit. The law doesn't take effect until Dec. 30, 2018. (Google return)

effin mormons I bet......
