Hi All,

Any advice is much appreciated! I am in need of getting new tires for upcoming SPRING/SUMMER as these are the only seasons I take my stinger out. I currently still have the stock wheels set up as I do not plan on buying new rims for new tires yet as I am fine with the stock rims, but do need new tires as my current ones' tread life isn't that great anymore.

My goal is to spend no more than $1100. Please let me know what you guys would recommend! I need to get my tires changed before July 4th as I will be driving from Wisconsin all the way down to Arkansas!

I was thinking of getting the SUMITOMO TIRES HTR Z3 as an option, but if anyone has experience with these or know anything about them I'd like to know more, as it seems info on these are somewhat limited or very old. They go for a pretty low price and have decent reviews on them for a summer performance tire. They're going for $190 each which comes to a total of $760 without taxes. Though I would like to know if anyone has recently used them in the past 6 months as most of the reviews I've seen are a year or older.

I've been running Sumitomo's on my Porsches for years and they are good tires - you'll want to get he HTR Z5.

Where in Wisconsin? I'm a little south of Milwaukee.

Also, my Mom lives in Fort Smith, Ark, so I've made that trip many times. Christmas was the first time for the Stinger, and the power was great going thru the mountains in Missouri on 44 - what a great car...

I'm from Milwaukee, WI actually. Thanks for the advice! So the HTR Z5 will fit stock rims with no issues correct?

If i get them the specs would be 225 40R19x2 front and 255 35R19x2 rear. I'm not too knowledgeable on tires or rims that's why I'm asking for help and sorry if it's a dumb question, I don't want to make a mistake.

Yes, the stock tire sizes will fit no problem.

I bought hankook ventus s1 evo 3s in 235/40 and 265/35 in December and couldn’t be happier. Quieter and softer riding than the Michelins, and no difference in handling (at least on the street, don’t know about track.) total was $1080 installed at sams club.

Yeah I'm using the Michelins Sport 4 right now but the tread is pretty bad now so that's why I'm looking for new tires, the stock ones are at 225/40R19 front and and 255/35R19 rear.

I looked at the Sumitomo HTR Z5 seems they only have 225/35R19 for front, would you notice any sort of difference if both front and rear were 35s?

Also I was thinking of getting bigger tires like you 235/40R19 front and 265/35R19 rear, did you have to do any adjustments or were they able to fit perfectly no issues? I plan on right now keeping the stock rims and stock suspensions at the moment because right now I'm doing HKS Plugs and JB4 Tune so I will only have money left over for tires.

Also consider Falken FK510, you can also get them in 235/40/19 & 265/35/19 sizes that will fit OE staggered wheel set up without issue, just like the Hankook Ventus as stated above & also a very good performance tyre.

they fit on stock rims with a lowered suspension just fine. You will have no issues with the stock suspension. Had to do it to get these tires, the s1 evo 3s are not available in 225/40 or 255/35.

Awesome! Good to know thanks so much! I'll take a look at those tires as well!

I'll throw another tire into the mix for you (I've had three sets now) the Nokian Z Line AS. I have had them on three different cars and they are freaking awesome for the money. You can get them in stock size too.
