Not like cold, because it 100˚F here in Texas, but freeze as in not moving. The clock also did not display a time. I turned the ignition on and off a few times but it just showed me frozen at home as I was driving. I got to my destination and it was sitting outside for a few hours and when I started it, it started working perfect.

Has anyone else had the Stinger Navigation freeze up on start up?

Note: I installed V13 SD a month ago and it has been working fine the past month.

Had this happen on a road trip last week. A power cycle solved the issue.

Did you just turn the ignition off and on. I'm thinking when you turn it off when it's frozen AND you have to wait a bit (at least more than a minute) before you turn it back on or it won't reset.

It was a refuel stop so yeah it was off for a couple min.

I’m going thru that problem right now..... my car is officially turned off but my screen is still on and frozen on my last call.... So just let it sit? It’s not gonna drain the battery??? lol

Gost, let us know if it resets. Mine has not froze again.

try the reset button

Unless the engine is running and providing electricity via the alternator, the only power source available to power the screen is your battery. The drain may be relatively slow, but it will absolutely be there. I'd suggest a call to your dealership to ask for their assistance at this point, the unit absolutely shouldn't freeze and remain on after the car is shut down (once you've opened and closed doors, locked the car, etc).

This evening, NAV kept zooming out on the scale of miles. I prefer 700' around town. But NAV kept zooming out to .25 miles; then to 2 miles; and even to 300', no rhyme or reason. I just switched to the time and date screen for the drive home. If the next time I drive the scale of miles keeps flipping around, I will push the Reset button.

The electronics and apps are so complex that I am frankly surprised at how glitch free my car has been these past fifteen months.

“Reset” button??? Where is this so called button lol

There is a small button on the front of the audio unit that you will need to use a pen or something similar to press. I tried this when I lost all the sound on my audio system. (This ended up being the Quantum Logic issue though). This resets the whole system. It may help you.

Mine ended up turning off after an hour of the whole car being off (once I opened and closed the doors) but nice to know about the reset button lol

Thanx for everyone’s help and guidance

The reset is just to the right of the radio button, in the black part there.
