Dealer Markup Napleton Kia of Elmhurst - Chicagoland area

I do not do any paperwork or take a deposit until I am assured that it is mine. The color you want is probably the toughest to get. Trading for a Stinger takes a lot of effort and time.

Not to keep ragging on this dealer, but I made the mistake of going there for an oil change since I live so close to it, and it took over 4 HOURS for an oil change with an appointment! People were complaining and getting angry of long waits, and one woman actually got kicked out of the dealer because they never disclosed to her that the door on her certified pre-owned Optima is not OEM and now it's having paint issues that they will not do anything about.

So it seems to be subpar all around, not just sales. I sure as hell won't be back for anything.

I'm heading back to Elmhurst tomorrow to see whats what. My guess is that they didn't get the car I signed paperwork for and will be backing out of said deal. I know I have zero legal recourse with them, nor would I want to pursue any, but I may mention it to them, just for fun. I did get a call back from International Kia wanting to do a deal after speaking to International Subaru, which my guess is that Subaru would love to take my car for a trade from their same owned Kia dealer, but we shall see.

I'll post up what come about tomorrow morning.

Many dealers do this.. Frustrating... But you will do it... Keep us updated...

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
For those of you in the middle of a dealer trade......I heavily advise to make sure car is in hand 1st. It is a nightmare trying to trade for specific colors/options. I have spent days getting the correct Stingers for our customers. Quite a few dealers will not even want to work on a trade. Keep in mind you are potentially putting miles on these vehicles. Everything really has to align correctly for these things to take place. It can be done though.

The service department at Napleton Kia of Elmhurst makes me never want to own a Kia again! The service is terrible! Roger the manager is the most unprofessional manager I have seen in a business environment. I own three Kia's, all purchased from this dealer, my most recent purchase was a Kia stinger! MY STINGER has been facing a lot of issues that other stingers are also having which is a paint chipping issue. Roger was the one that was handling this as he is the Service Director and is the manager who must work directly with the dpsm and warranty department. Two months ago I submitted a claim to Kia Corporate who they told me to go see Roger to take photos so they could be sent to corporate. After of the photos were taken I left Roger more than 13 messages in four weeks and still never got a callback. I finally spoke to him 3 weeks ago and said he would call me in a few days with claim results. I have now been trying to get a hold of Roger again for two weeks for a status, and left 5 messages. I have talked to him briefly three times which he says he will call me back within an hour and never calls back. He probably says that so he doesn't have to deal with a pissed off customer. I regret ever owning a Kia as I never thought it would be such an issue to get good service. I understand the paint chip is a warranty issue however customer service is The worst I have ever seen. As much as I love my Kia's, I will never own one again thank you to Roger and his team and their proof to how crappy of customer service they have. Not worth the headache! I will be looking for other cars in the near future not by Kia! I will make a positive note that the sales team and especially Kyle, here does a terrific job, however I don't want to buy a car from somewhere that I can't take it for service!

I am working with Kia Corporate now and a Lemon Law attorney to cancel my Stinger lease and compensate me for my stress, time and poor service. So far Kia escalations management is in aggreance that I do not deserve the terrible service I have received from both Corporate and dealer levels and is working to make this right. We shall see!
