Hello guys,

I'm not much of a social media person but I've been told to post up my results and share it to the community, so here are the results of my ever growing stage 1 tune.

This is all on a stock unmodified AWD Kia Stinger GT2, there are no physical performances mods done yet to the car. So far I've been able to achieve 401whp 449tq on a mustang dyno (best baseline on the mustang dyno when on stock tune was 316whp and 336tq) and recently 410whp and 479tq on a dynojet (boost was a little lower on this revision top end but the torque was impressive)

  • Target boost 17-17.51psi
  • LC RPM is set at 2500rpms either at 2 or 4psi (4psi is useless on the oem stock tires)
  • No boost drop on shifts
  • No throttle closure at all
  • Lambda Commanded Target on 93oct is .83
  • Engine Load, Turbo Pressure Load, Turbine Speed Limit, COT protection have all been adjusted and or disabled
  • WGDC% have been adjusted to hold steady boost all the way to redline and on shifts
  • MPG if you cruise nicely I've achieved 30-32mpg on a 2hr trip on pump gas, E45 netted me 24.6mpg on the same trip. Average Mpg combination when beating on the stinger is 23.1mpg on 93ct and 18.7mpg on e45
On the 3.86 0-60mph the 60ft was a 1.84
On the 3.91 0-60mph the 60ft was a 1.82

Both of them had a bit of wheel spin for a fraction of a second when the boost ramps in.

I will be getting primaries and Intakes made soon, once I have them I'll see what I can get out of the stinger for when it actually has some performance mods on it.

Let me know what you guys think!!

Thanks,
Chris

Is this Tork?

Nice work, Chris! I, and I'm sure many others, appreciate you both working in the Stinger and also spreading the details about your tune! I'm excited to hear more as you continue to work on things.

I've asked you this previously via email, but, any plans to do a lower octane tune? I'm stuck with 92 as the highest octane I can get. I'd love to have a tune that can use that octane, and maybe even push more boost than the stage 1 tune.

Either way, again thanks for all your work!

Thank you for the post. You have a numbers of Stinger lovers here watching with keen interest.

Welcome, glad to see another tuner developing maps for our ECUs. Keep the updates coming

Impressive, nice to see someone else tackling the tuning as well.

RWD or AWD dyno?

Dyno charts if possible please.

This is excellent news and very impressive stats so far, especially for an unmodified Stinger.

All those additional benefits are great to hear, and already hitting 3 second 0-60s even with wheelspin is awesome! Can’t wait to see what you can do with summer tires and some good traction.

I really look forward to your developments and bet you break even more records once you get a few mods.:D

Thanks for pushing our platform & reputation to another level and keep up the great work!

Have you been able to increase the speeds of the shifts? Or remove the speed limiter?

Nice early results. My tunes LC is 2500 and 3 psi and I'm no where near spinning. Even brake snip 2800, 8psi won't spin. (Brake snip opens throttle slower) How much static throttle and how fast fast is that throttle opening?

Also catless and HFC primary use is on the decline with stock turbos due to smoking / oil burn. Aside from Debears, you may want to do other mods instead to have a build customers have.

Welcome to the site and I'm excited to see another player in the game. Will you be willing to sell your files online to people who are interested in self-flashing? I'm releasing a video series very soon about how to flash your ECU at home using bitbox.

Seems like a fair question. I'd like logs and more dragy results too.

Considering that I get emailed logs from quite a few people I'd love to see a log of this car launching and shifting. I am very excited to see competition I'd love to see EAST vs WEST 1/4 mile fights!

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I will keep striving to provide quality tunes, products to the community so that the Stinger/G70 can prosper and continue to grow. Plus I like this car and its fun to drive.

Impressive, nice to see someone else tackling the tuning as well.

AWD Dynos, I have an older revision mustang dyno posted on the website right now.

Have you been able to increase the speeds of the shifts? Or remove the speed limiter?

Speed limiter has been basically removed. I set it to 200mph, I don't think anyone would hit 200mph. Shift speeds have been a little quicker then oem but I haven't focused much on that yet.

Nice early results. My tunes LC is 2500 and 3 psi and I'm no where near spinning. Even brake snip 2800, 8psi won't spin. (Brake snip opens throttle slower) How much static throttle and how fast fast is that throttle opening?

Throttle % for LC is set at 40%, then at 2mph it is fully open. An average of .1/s from 40% to fully open on LC.

Thank you for the welcome! I have not thought of that before but if there are those out there with there own bench setup and cables, I'm more then willing.

I saw some want 1/8 and 1/4 dragy results, where I live it is very hard to get a clean 1/8 and 1/4 of a smooth linear road with no pedestrians, cars, cops etc. Also logs to see but I don't think my custom logs would be of use to the community, as I'm logging more then the basic UDS PID and watching realtime Ram adjustments to rom Blk calls. I will attach a video of an early attempt at logging.

This 1/8 dragy at 7.82 @ 84mph is me getting out of it at the end due to a stop sign coming out that I accidentally went through, I'm sure if I was able to stay in it, it would have been around 7.7 and 90-93mph

{/ ah mp4 extension is not aloud and I cannot post a google drive link either :/

I like how you care to give details about how the ECU works and how you have modified it. I wish you good success. :)
