How are y’all. So I decided to take my badge off from the front. Sadly the person helping me was a fool and took some of my paint off. Any recommendations on how to fix this?

Show us a picture and maybe we can try to give you some opinions. Depends on how bad it is. Will the new badge cover it?

Pic is worth 1000 words. If the paint is only off under the badge then your won't have to do anything because the new badge will hide it.

Right under the badge, top right also! Dude helping me for some reason got the idea to use a “fork” to take off the glue .-. I was so mad once I saw what he did

I still put the badge on. It covers most of it. Still pretty salty thoC5BF863E-7847-4850-9F98-51C0D8751547.webp

Holy, crap!? A FORK? And that missing paint is way out there; isn't that black plastic below the badge? What is that red thing?

It looks pretty bad, I just can't fathom someone taking a fork to it. What is the mark below the badge area? Is that part missing paint also?

Removing a badge shouldn't be that difficult; you work from the outside edge inward, never touching anything beyond the badge. That gouge below the badge (clear as a zit in your closeup pic) is way outside; how in the love of heaven did he manage that??

I didn’t take the tape off the badge at that point yet. And right!!! I was very annoyed today lol

For fix recommendations, it's either going to be using touch up paint which might be obvious, or respray the bumper. You have a 2018 stinger so matching the color might be a bit more difficult as the paint might of been faded. Best to reach out to autobody shops to see what they have to say. Sorry this happened. It would of drove me crazy. Have him pay for the respray.

Pretty upsetting that’s for sure. He wanted to help. I said naw. He decided to help and messed up my paint trying to do it fast after I said I was going to take a while so I’ll do it alone.

Honestly. I really should ahaha! I was extremely annoyed! The paint on the car is so nice! But oh well. I’m going to get a touch up pen. Hopefully get the car wrapped within the year

Okay, recommendations: The touchup kit with the brush in the cap is the only way to go if you want fast. It won't be any worse than what you'd expect, and it might look surprisingly okay from five, six feet away. A single pass with the brush over each spot, then walk away and leave it for at least a whole day. You can try smoothing it out with 2000 grit wet sandpaper: on JUST the spot only, not the surrounding area. If that doesn't work out, then apply another single pass with the brush (a "pen" will not fix this!). If you can walk up to your car and not have the damage grab your attention, it's good enough: especially since it'll be tiding you over till your wrap. :)

Reminds me of years ago when I had a Kia Forte. It was a nice little car with a few small mods. Intakes, new wheels and a little wing. The car had a custom paint job. My friend borrowed my car for a few days while I was out of town. There was a small snowstorm, got about a foot of snow. I came back to find scratches all over my car. He had used a shovel to scrape the snow off my roof and hood, truck lid. I was not happy haha.

First off, get a friend that isn't a total dumb sh*t.
Second, if you clean the affected area with a small fine sanding disk on a Dremel that should be good, get it really clean afterward with some isopropyl alcohol, the kind you can buy at the grocery store if you don't have some already, wait for it to dry (maybe a minute at most) then use the brush in the cap of the touch up paint and do a thin single layer at a time to get it up to even with the rest. Once it is dry and fully (FULLY) set, (24hours) use a mild paint POLISH. You want a mild abrasive polish. If you want to go super fine afterward, use mothers metal polish. It is safe and does not contain any iron oxide so will not leave anything that can rust. Once you have it pretty smooth and even from the polish, then again wash and wax the car. It won't be *perfect* but it will look great and not be an immediate eyesore unless you are specifically looking for it.

Learn to love it.
I did something similar to mine. When the interewebs say "it needs lots of heat" what they mean is "it needs just a bit of heat"...... I just colored in with the paint pen and will eventually replace the bumper. It's been that way for 2.5 years, so not sure when this "eventually" is going to come around.

What a messy job! I hope you sealed those holes and un covered paint area before puting the E badge back. Otherwise this might rust and you will be in even bigger problem.

On a new car like this I would only be happy with a new paint. Touch-up will not look good for that size of paint chips.
