I picked up my GT2 AWD in Ceramic Silver (Wet Cement) on Friday 12/15/2017 and it is all I expected and more! This car is amazing, from the build quality to the power, it doesn't seem like a first gen car at all. The Ceramic Silver color is amazing. In the sun it has a pearl shine to it but in the dark, it looks matte. <3

The Smart Cruise Control w/ Stop & Go works amazing, It's perfect for traffic and you can start it at any speed as long as it's above 0 mph. The lane keep assist is also very well done, you can cruise down the highway without touching the wheel or the pedals for quite some time. It does warn you to keep your hands on the steering wheel if it doesn't detect any resistance, so you can just rest them at the bottom or even press your knee against it and it stops warning you.

To clear up some things about the shift paddles, if you're in sport or custom it WILL NOT automatically take you out of manual mode unless you come to a stop. I don't mind this as you can just tap the - paddle and it will go back into manual mode. The other modes will return to standard drive mode after the paddles have not been pushed for six seconds. I understand why they did this as I almost never used the paddle shifters when I was in these other modes.

The auto-hold and ISG (Idle Stop & Go) work great! It's not like other cars where the ISG will turn on every time you stop your car, even when you stop for a second. In the Stinger, you have to press down the brake pretty hard to activate both of them, pretty cool feature. And yes like others have seen the ISG sometimes doesn't work. Here are some conditions that the manual list.
"brake vacuum pressure is adequate, the battery is sufficiently charged, outside temperature is between 14F to 95F and the engine coolant temperature is not too low."

The power is amazing with almost no lag as I can tell, the shifts are super quick and the handling in comfort and sport mode are both really good.

All of the interior is super nice, all of the metal pieces are cold to the touch, the Nappa leather is perfect with an amazing shade of burgundy red. All of the infotainment is very easy to navigate with the HUD being very cool also.

Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be glad to answer them!

Gorgeous car! I love the ceramic silver. Does the paint have metallic flakes in it, or is it a flat paint? Hard to tell from the pictures.

How is the AWD? Does it feel super planted?

In the sun it has a pearl shine to it so yeah it does look like it has some metallic flakes but in the dark, it looks matte!

Yeah, it feels super planted, I haven't bashed it too hard yet because of the break-in period and the fact that it is on summer tires when it is 40F... -.-

Congrats! Great looking car! Can we see some pics of the inside?

I'm jealous. That's what I ordered and have no idea when it's coming.

Congrats! It looks nice!

Congrats on your purchase & choice, looks great under lights, enjoy.

Man, that thing looks awesome. I'm completely on the fence between the Ceramic Silver w/red interior, or Micro Blue w/light grey interior. I'm so torn that I almost just want the dealer to make the decision for me.

Congrats on the purchase! Did you get a decent deal?

Handsome car. And it sounds like the tech and performance features are working just the way they should. Thanks for the review.

Yeah, I was the same way!! But I didn't like the idea of a light gray interior and my dealer found a Ceramic Silver in Colorado so he diverted it to Texas! I'm definitely happy about the color of the Ceramic, it looks so great in person.

Yeah, I think it was a pretty good deal, well better then it was originally... No markup so a $700 lease and free window tinting! :p

I couldn’t agree more. I LOVE my GT2. Only color available in AZ was red so got that. I really like the red but was very interested in the ceramic color which also has the red interior that I think is very very good looking. Welcome to the GT club!

I think that's going to be THE polarizing color on this car in the U.S. I think some will love it and some will really not like it. We'll see! Keep driving!

Hey! Nice to see you on here too! Yeah I agree, it's definitely a strange color but that's the reason why I chose it! I don't like following the norm (see my two other cars that are plasti-dipped) and that's the other reason why I love Kia so much.
