I would rather not have all the features I don't want. So GT1 for me, still. The only feature I'd value is the 360 degree camera. But I have gotten much better at parking and don't need it now.The GT1 has one feature that I would miss in a GT2: manual gate. The "T" shifter looks fine to me (some think it looks cheap, which I don't relate to).
@MisterMacGT2, hands down, without question, everyday and twice Sunday.
@MisterMac
So why would you get the older model year car? The extra features? To my understanding the 2018 GT2 awd vs the 19 gt awd gets you the HUD, and different shifter, nappa leather, and the automatic liftgate. But you are get a one year older car and a first model year car. Unfortunately, the 360 degree camera isn't available on the 18s. If It were I wouldn't hesitate to pick the 18. Since the isn't the case I am kind of torn.
I have the 2018 GT2 and love, love, love, all those items the 2019 GT1 doesn't have. They make the driving experience for me. I've come to prefer the electronic shifter, the HUD display, the Napa leather with adjustable side bolsters, the automatic lift gate, etc. I have nearly 21,000 miles on my GT2 with very few issues, so the first model year thing has been a none-issue. Also, the 2018 still has the radio/electronics warranty of 5/60,000 whereas the 2019 is 3/36,000 warranty.
My 18 GT2 is in the shop since yesterday afternoon (I needed a new strut assembly because an idiot backed into my front tire causing the strut to bend), so I am driving a 2019 GT1 as a loaner. I hate this GT1 because it doesn't have the things I enjoy, especially the HUD!
I also have the 2020 Telluride SX Prestige. It has the 360 camera set-up and the wireless charger. Initially, I thought that'd be cool. Truth is, it does nothing for me. I can't look at the 360 camera image and look where I am driving at the same time and I dislike wireless charging.
Fair point. I did not know there was a warranty difference between the 18 and the 19. You have one of my favorite colors in the micro blue. That and the pather are my two favorites.
