I bought a second smart key for my 2022 GT but I can’t get the smart key to auto switch the car settings to the second user. Same when I unlock the car with my original key. It won’t switch back to user 1 settings. All my other cars do this auto adjust for the specific user based on their key. Is there a way to link my keys to users?

You probably have to enable this functionality through the user settings. How? No clue, my car doesn't have this feature. Check in the owner's manual?

Checked the entire 2 owners manuals. Couldn’t find anything.

Hmm... I quickly skimmed through the 3 manuals, didn't find anything either. Can't imagine kia wouldn't include this as it's easy enough to link the fobs to the driver profile(s).

I know you can switch the user in the screen but since I'm the only one who drives mine I have no clue of all the crap that changes. Surprised they didn't include the user functionality in the keys.

Don't forget the market segment for Kia. e.g. our top-of-the-line Subaru also doesn't have this feature. But the bottom-of-the-line Volvo that we had? Sure did.

haha yea... so did our 22 year old bmw 5 series ... the different keys would be paired with the seat memory buttons... but our top trim (not M) z4 3.0Si doesn't even have an alarm or a speaker or even use the horn to make a sound to let us know it's locked/unlocked it was an option that the first owner didn't get.. thankfully we never adjust anything between the two of us so it never mattered.. but i can see the usefulness of it..

Language and station presets are pretty much the only changes. And you have to physically tap the username on the screen upon start up.

A bit of a pointless exercise. It would be nice if it auto-recognized the 2nd fob as driver 2 and make the changes upon start up.
