hello, currently have only one child, but the discussion has begun for a second . Anyone have a pair of rear facing car seats in their Stinger? How well do they fit? Any impact on driver and passenger leg room?
Photos are of course appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Yes, there is somebody here who has two child car seats in the back. My memory is not serving me well. Does anyone else remember who that is?

I have one in the back seat but it is front facing. I can the a picture off you want.

I brought a carseat to the dealership to see how it fits rear facing and it looked fine to me. It will take two easily. Dealership said it will do three, but not 100% sure about that.

It might also be important what carseats you select. Sedans don't always do well with the larger carseats. Also it's usually only tight when initially rear facing, and then it opens up a bit after tilting up (guessing you already know that though).

Dang rear facing infant seat cost me my STI last year..... yeah I can’t wait to get him turned around. Our big car seat and infant seat will fit in center or side seat in our Grand Cherokee, but only in the center on our Forte. My STI was pretty unique in that it only fit in the side seats due to the unique shape of the seats the front edge of the seat would stick out of the 5pt harness slot in the back of the seat

Wow that’s snug. I don’t think you’ll have that problem with the stinger, it’s a long car. But I’m not an owner yet, so I’m just estimating.

For reference my son is 2 yrs old and 50% in height.

rear facing car seats limit front seat room in large SUV's so definitely will affect a stinger

in 9+ mos baby 1 will be facing forward and they go behind you. baby 2 passenger side and your wife can deal with less room

next call to urologist so you dont have to trade in for a minivan. no way 3 would fit

I’ve got 2 forward facing car seats in the back and once they are 3 + it gets pretty tight in their feet.

We are at 17mo right now. However, he’s tiny (like mama) , so we are still rear facing. But by this time next year, you’re right, it shouldn’t be an issue.

This is probably late but I wanted to mention I have 2 front facing seats in my stinger. We all have room. They eat amd spill drinks and wife puts feet up on dash. I about have a stroke but it's all good after i clean it

Not too late. Still trying.... agreed to wait till after she was pregnant with #2 :(

I just switched from rear facing to front facing. With the rear facing, the passenger seat had to be move up a bit. One of my buddies (probably 5’7 in height) had trouble getting in lol, so yeah it does compromise the front seat space, but it’s not terrible.

I’ve got two booster seats facing forward though. I found I needed to buy seatbelt extenders though as the buckle end is tough to get without them

Back in the day, we had 4 small children and a 15 year old 81 Impala. 3 front-facing child seats across the back seat and a rear-facing infant seat in the middle of the front seat. Times have changed a bit...

I've got two carseats in the stinger now, and just test fit 3. Yes 3 fit if you look for ones that are narrower - there are very expensive ones that are narrow, but we didn't buy those, we went with normal ones that happen to have more narrow specs. Here's the configuration:

Rear-facing behind driver, booster in middle and a front car seat behind passenger

We reverted back to the 2 car seat for the next 2mos until our 3rd baby is born - can take pics then if you like. 2 car seats have tons of room ...

I have both rear facing and front facing car seats in mine. You will have no issue with room in either case. The only thing is you will need to use a pool noodle to level out the rear facing one.
