Hello All,

I am shopping for 2019 GTS RWD's and it looks like leasing is the way to go. What kind of percentage off MSRP should I haggle for in addition to the $8900 of lease cash? I have one quote that is $9,500 off total with the 24/10 lease.

Curious what zip your are in that has $8900 lease cash. I am only seeing $7400 near me.

I am in South Carolina. I used Edmunds for the lease cash number.

Where in SC? I am in Greenville and the Edmunds lease forum told me $7,400 lease cash.

@Kossman i just stalked that thread and it looks like you asked for 36/12. clemson asked for 24/10

@clemson85 - when did you ask? I didn't see your ask in that thread for December.

Also, FYI as personal experience. I've asked for lease cash from them. Some dealers quoted lease cash of $1K higher, some gave me the exact lease cash.

I wasn’t aware that lease cash would vary based on the term of the lease.

Yep! Try it out yourself (post on Edmunds) and see!

NC is 11K lease cash for 24/10K and 9700 for 36/10K

@OP, I'm asking dealers for 15% off MSRP before lease incentives. I have seen on offer with 10% on GT2 AWD, but still hunting.

15% off before lease cash? That's wild. Good luck! The highest I've personally seen was 13.8%... in California.

I'll take 13.8 !.lol.. we'll see what happens. I set an aggressive target and am trying to hit it.

Yeah that's what I did with some dealerships "I've personally seen people getting upwards of 14% off...could we negotiate around that?" although many other dealerships were like screw off!

Tomorrow I'm visiting two more dealerships that seem pretty promising. I may be posting in the Intro section Sunday/Monday!

Yea i just typed in my zip code on edmunds site. I am in North Augusta, SC. The other X factor is dealer add-ons at I would say 85-90 percent of the KIA dealers. So we may get 10 percent off MSRP but hold on we have 2k to 3k in dealer add on fees to deal with. I have never bought a KIA but their dealership sales infrastructure is whack and they only focus on your payments. I want the best price OTD and in South Carolina our sales tax is only $500! I am shooting for 35K OTD off of 45k MSRP on a 2019 GTS RWD. I can't decide whether to purchase on December 31 and ask for the best price or wait on the 2020's to hit the lots and then see what deal I can get. The only catch is they only produced 800 GTS's.

Some lowly salespeople are not that knowledgeable and so they seem to always associate "OTD" with Financing. To make it easier for them, maybe ask for a lease sheet? Or negotiate on net cap cost.

they only focus on your payments.

Yes and that drives me crazy. The sales guy at the first dealership I went to kept pointing out that I was already making payments similar to the monthly payment they were quoting on my then existing car.

I kept telling him that I didnt care what the monthly payments were and that i only cared about OTD pricing and the interest rate. I couldn't get through to him and ended up buying somewhere else that met my terms.

This is the deal I got at Ron Tonkin Kia in Gladstone, Oregon on Dec 14;
