Thank you Mike for getting this my way.. The color is damn close...

That looks great, well done, if you didn’t know any better you would think it was an OE fit.
I am also waiting for them to resend my S type after they sent incorrect G type, will be also painting Silky Silver.
How was it to fit, straight forward or fiddly, any tips?

Thanks!!! That’s exactly what I was looking for/hoping to achieve..

It’s very straightforward.. The only thing I did differently is pick this up from the local autobody supply shop.. I will also use this for when I rebadge..

That’s exactly what I did 3m acrylic automotive tape but 2 rolls of 3m x 10mm wide (converts roughly to 3yards x 3/8” wide).

Painted definitely looks better!

Agreed, the transition from spoiler to hatch to panel gap has always bothered me with these spoilers. Color matched it looks significantly better.

I just received my type-s yesterday. The fit is different from the G. The G has like an L shape and just overlaps the top of the deck lid and goes down. The S is a C channel where it goes over both top and bottom of the edge of the trunk lid. I just sent it to paint this morning so have t installed it yet but I expect it back by the end of the week. I’m not that familiar with installations but I would say an extra set of heads would be useful.

That’s good to know, my correct on s type is on the way, interested to see your tape placement in the channel area, if you don’t mind would you post some progress photos from start to finish when you do the install.
