Has anyone successfully modded the MS side skirts and rear skirts to make it work with the factory splash guards?

I'm gonna brainstorm how I am going fit my MS side skirts around the splash guards tomorrow. I do not have the rear skirts. I also have puddle lights installed also so I am going to make some cutouts for them also. Will update here when I figure it out.

Thanks Rango. Please take pics along the way. How's the finish of the product? Did you get the standard or advance? My understanding is the the only difference between the two is thicker material on the advance version. Are you going to get it painted, wrapped, or leave it as is?

This is how far I've got. Got the advanced. It's a 2 part piece bonded together. I had mine painted with triple clear coat.

The advanced part is much sturdier ... however, I added more 3M 540 adhesive to seal all holes for more durability.

Gonna use self tapping screws on the inside if the skirts and push pins in the squares under the skirts ... in addition to double strips down the middle of each skirt. When using the tape make sure you use 3M adhesion promoter. Makes the tape stick like epoxy.

Later this week, gonna figure how to cut the skirts to fit with the mud guards. Hope this helps.

This is awesome. Looking forward to see your progress.

The side skirts pose the biggest challenge if you have mud guards and puddle lights. Don't know how you'll accommodate for the puddle lights....drill big holes into the skirts to go over the lights, or attach the puddle lights to the skirt and drill a small hole to run the wire (but that may make the lights too low and visible).....I saw someone here already shave the side skirts to accommodate for the mud guards. Doesn't look terrible.

I'm going to drill large oval holes in the skirts so the puddles shine through. Do not want the lights visible. And yes, just need to trim about 1/2 inch off the front of the skirts to fit.

Best of luck. I put on the front splitter a couple of days ago and it looks sick. I too have mud guards and puddle lights, but too lazy to do all that work to make the side skirts fit. I may just take the rear skirts and slap it on the side.

Thanks. Starting the install today. Any tips on how you secured the front splitter? Did you remove the bumper?
