More confirmation SRTs aren’t as fast as I thought...

OK how about this one then ....................

Edit. Doesn't matter.

As somebody who has owned both and borrowed a HC for awhile, I can say 100% a new SRT should stomp the Kia off the line. Jeeps LC is vastly superior to Kia.

The old body style SRT, aka the 6.1L is slower than the 6.4 but is "stronger" inside which is why most use this motor for boosting. I can post many time slips which show the SRT is fully capable to high 12's STOCK.

I have yet to see a legit race between a 2014+ SRT vs GT2.
Agreed, but only if they actually engage LC and get lucky enough not to spin the tires like most do.

Again I’m not doubting what they are capable of running in best case scenarios. I’m simply stating that in real world situations they rarely perform that well. Both the SRT and GT can run high 12s stock, the Stinger just does it easier and way more consistent doing those numbers.

I personally haven’t lost a race vs a SRT/Scat Pack and have seen multiple videos from a variety of people showing Stingers beating them too.

Nothing personal, but as someone who almost bought one and has raced several I can confirm the only real advantage they have over our Stingers is top end over 80MPH.

Nice kill and thanks for sharing.

Another great example, and similar to how my my run went as well. Jeep SRTs jump off the line with low gearing but we easily walk away from them at the end.

I know that was an example of the older 470HP version, but looks like even a 2014+ 475HP model would have lost that race too.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I’ve got the slips from when I raced a Jeep SRT8, but it was a 2006, no not what you’re discussing exactly.

Post them anyway so there is more proof of Stingers "officially" beating SRTs. The new ones are only slightly faster so it will still provide a good comparison to any Jeep SRT available.

One in the middle is the 2006 Jeep SRT8. He was only slightly modded. Intake and exhaust, he said.

Awesome and thanks for posting.

Wow even more impressive knowing he had mods. That would make his closer to the 2014+ SRTs and further reinforces the whole conversation.

Nice run and congrats on getting Stingers another SRT kill!:D

Thanks for posting the slips. That trap shows there is room for improvement from the driver of the Kia. (depending on DA or whatever)

Here is a stock 2014 SRT in full weight trim-230M- which dynoed at 386ish WHP. (20"spare, 1/2-3/4 tank 91, A/S tires 36lbs cold, Tow hitch/bar installed on subframe) I trapped 105 VERY consistently.

The 6.1L motor/5speed is slower than the 6.4/8speed 2014+. This would be a great race and would boil down to the drivers.
