3.3TT Mishimoto's Stinger GT Intercooler Kit R&D Thread

No worries, and I know the feeling! I promise, though that all of our BOV testing and info isn't holding up any of the intercooler production, and in the end it's only going to help the intercooler kit. I'd send you a beer but it might be warm by the time it gets there though ;)

All I'm hearing is V8 Stinger, and I like the sound of that

So, we design and test every one of our components right here at our R&D facility in New Castle, but when it comes to manufacturing, it's a worldwide process, like you said, much like just about everyone else both in and out of the automotive industry. This particular kit is manufactured in China, and much like just about every industry the global pandemic did affect the timelines for this kit. We are back on track though, and we're still on target for the previously mentioned date. I'll be sure to keep you guys updated if we run into any other delays though. We're keeping a close eye on the situation and want to ensure that we're doing our part, not only to keep everyone here at Mishimoto safe and healthy, but also to reduce any spread of the virus.

Again, everyone here at Mishimoto greatly appreciate your patience with the development of this kit, and we can't wait to get these out to you guys.

So question is there a price point? Also if we wait do we get a discount ?

Nope ...I’m very new here. So what do you know

:whistle:I know you should learn to read before asking others to coddle you. Oh, welcome to the forum it’s the best place for all things Stinger.

Your funny ...Not asking to be coddled... I asked a legit question... So I should read 16 pages worth of threads? For a yes or a no answer? Once you get off your menstrual cycle, drink a little bit of cranberry juice and you’ll be OK

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Well, your question has been asked, and answered (albeit without much satisfaction to some members) more than once in those 16 pages, so....

Totally appreciate it And thanks for the frankness...if that’s the case than I’ll be checking out other intercooler’s and picking up The best for my application...why wait if there is no incentive in doing so? So I’m done with this tread

They said spring this year. But TBH this is the slowest R&D I have ever seen.

We're looking at a June Presale and a very early July for when we'll being shipping. Yup, there will be a discount on the presale which will go on for about 2-3 week (I'll make sure that you guys are very well informed so you can get in on it).

Also, I'm planning on having all of our data posted up in within the next month for you guys, so stay tuned!

Why the next month for the data?
Why can't you just share it today?

The very funny thing is that by the time this product will be released, the Stinger F/L will be out with the new 3.5T engine that has a water to air intercooler.

This. Seriously.

Will be nice to have substantially less charge piping volume for faster boost response, along with the much larger heat capacity.

Do you think the larger charge pipe will reduce the response? I am extremely interested in that matter.

For the Mishimoto intercooler? Absolutely. You're increasing the charge piping to 3" diameter and increasing the intercooler core volume. That said, the entire charge volume is going to be substantially bigger, and it's going to take that much longer to pressurize the increased space.

Just how much of a delay remains to be seen. But, once it hits full boost there should be a little more power, if those flow improvements truly were a bottleneck to begin with.
