Misfires after swapping to Denso plugs

So, small update. Took a drive with the JB4 installed on map 1. I did the first half of my trip with 0 misfires but had 5 on the drive home (roughly 10 miles; 1 on cyl 1, 2 on 2, 2 on 3). Looks like i'm gonna pull the plugs and coils this weekend and make sure we didn't f*ck something up during the install.

I guess my other question is if my JB4 disconnects from Bluetooth mid trip, does the JB4 stay in the map that it was on or will it fall back to map 0 as a safety measure?

And in general, would it be safe to drive the car until this weekend when I can pull the plugs and coils out?

You must've messed something up on installation. Should have no issues with .22 gap/jb4 installed.

The Bluetooth connection is just for mapping and changing stuff on the JB4. You don't have to connect every time you drive the car or anything. Whatever you have the JB4 set at will continue to run until you make changes.

I know this won't be your favorite reply but I would order a new set of plugs and if you really need to drive the car, put the stock ones back in until the replacement set comes (if you still have the OEM ones). since you are getting the misfire regardless of jb4 and you didn't have the misfires before installing the new plugs, they have to be the culprit.

I would rule out the coils if you had no misfires on the OEM plugs. Check all connections from the plug back just to make sure those cyls. are properly connected to the coils. it is not a popular decision to drive the car with that many misfires. what type of gauge are you using to gap the plugs??????????? Maybe they are not at 0.022 as you stated????

I may try getting some HKS plugs this time, the only thing that turns me off is they are pretty much double the price of the densos. As for the guage, I am using the Burger Motorsports feeler gauge set with the .022 gauge.
