Mid pipe/secondary cat delete = louder?

Bit of a necrothread revival, but just wondering if any of you guys were able to get any decent scrap value for the secondary cats that were removed?

BTW, I like the sound of my midpipes with no secondaries.

I'm sure you could. I'm keeping mine in case I need to go back to stock for trade-in/private sale.

I would keep mine but in my area many people are stealing cats under the car for the precious materials, just not sure where to sell to get the most value, might have to ask those thief where they sell their stock


If you do not plan to keep yours it might be more cost effective just to remove the cat material on the stock pipe. Other than the cat the pipes do not look very restrictive.

I personally prefer downpipes to exhausts if you are looking for a lowkey daily driver option.

I have been using downpipes only the last 2 years & love it. Occasionally, I will find myself wanting a catback.

However, I often have parents, in-laws, & family in my car so I can't have any additional cabin noise plus I drawing unnecessary attention to my driving.

TLDR: dont forget the muffler. The factory one is quite restrictive as all are from the manufacturers.
