Hi all. Still trying to figure out what to do exhaust wise. Is there a noticeable sound difference when only replacing the secondary cats/mid pipe? Is anyone running exhaust with only mid pipe replacement/secondary cat delete. My goal is a bit more grunt and a bit more power and everything I’m reading/seeing is pointing towards this. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I'm in the same boat as you are. Listened to all the YouTube videos and videos posted here all have horrible drone issue. They all sound great from the outside but the cabin noise and vibrations seem heavy. At this point I am considering just doing a midpipe and leaving the stock catback and see how it goes from there.

That’s exactly my feeling. Hopefully somebody has tried this and can chime in.

I just pulled the trigger on the SSR catless mid pipes. I’ll post videos and sounds clips for anyone interested once installed.

I deleted my resonators, the sound is just right for me.

I'm only running the SSR mid-pipes with stock exhaust and there is a slight increase in sound, in a good way. No drone.

I have the same set up since ssr came out no drone. Love the sound still not sure what’s next.

There are many threads on this topic. From the sound of it, you three ^^ should just get the secondary “down pipe” and be happy

Agreed, i'm happy with the sound. IMO it's perfect for a GT car like the Stinger.

Am like 75% on the trigger, but am worried about the sound I would get with the resonators gone.

It will drone without the resonators. They drone with most aftermarket exhaust setups so a resonator delete setup will vibrate and create drone as well. I think you'll regret it, unless you plan to put the resonators back on.

Yeah that’s what am thinking, am happy with my sound right now. I do want to do a full kit but looking for something that can kill the sound when I want.

Very happy to hear. Hoping I feel the same.

Minimal exhaust sound increase no drone (K&N drop in air filters and OEM cat back).... definitely, but my "dyno butt" validate a horse power gains for sure......

Bit of a necrothread revival, but just wondering if any of you guys were able to get any decent scrap value for the secondary cats that were removed?

BTW, I like the sound of my midpipes with no secondaries.
