Michelin Pilot Sport 4 Issues

Kia will give you a soul to borrow. From hi hp to 3 mice under the hood. Lol

I wouldn't feel justified asking for more than a Soul, if the damage was caused by my exuberance. But if anything went wrong without it being my fault, I'd demand a Stinger. I'd get quite exercised over it too.

Ya I tried that and they told me your not getting a stinger has loaner. My car has spent probably about a 3 weeks at shop over last 10 months.

That's what I am saying. I am even hesitant to use LC because of the caveat in the manual: "Constant use of Launch Control can put enormous stress on transmission, engine, and drive shafts and can result in vehicle damage." No definition of "constant use". Is that a frequency thing? Or is that an "often" thing? It makes me nervous. Just pushing down the accelerator while manually shifting, after holding the car stationary with the auto hold, seems like enough "stress" on the car.

I’m with you Merlin. I’ve used LC a few times, but heeding Kia’s ‘warning’ is probably wise. Also, before I bought the car I read and watched a ton of reviews. At-least a couple of the reviewers – and I think Alex On Autos was one – talked about the relatively slow acceleration of the Stinger from like 0-15MPH (normal turbo-lag aside), versus the very fast acceleration >15MPH. Given the 100,000mi/10yr warranty, it made sense to me that Kia would be doing some black magic with the computer to limit torque/stress a bit at launch. Seems to me if owners are launching the car for many years/miles, and if it was not somehow limited, that Kia will eventually go broke on 3.3T warranty claims!

You have to remember, thee cars are new and they probably don't have those in stock for loaners at this point. Until KIA fully establish this car as a "luxury" version and sets up a different way of handling our issues at the dealer and not just on the customer service line, getting a Stinger loaner is going to be a thing we wish for.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Hey guys I learned something tonight. When these tires go bad the car hits the rev limiter so quick that the transmission can’t even shift car quick enough. Spin all the way threw first gear so quick it hits rev limiter

What does "go bad" mean? Bald? You seem to have a very heavy foot!?

I'm having the same issue. Did you go through Michelin to get replaced?

My tire of choice, if available would be Continentals ExtremeContact Sport.

Similar performance to the MPS4 with better treadwear and a lower price.
Junk ! Conti’s in the Northeast hit small bumps & swell like balloons. Weak sidewalls. Just sayin
