Megan racing exhaust or MBRP stainless

Clamps looked fine on the one I just got..

installed mine with ramps/jackstands. A little tight, but do-able (unless you're really fat).

MBRP clamps are garbage.

I thought they looked like they were stainless steel. I'll get some just in case

I would suggest a lap joint clamp like the pic below. The MBRP kit needs four clamps total.
The clamps my MBRP came with were stainless, but were just a narrow band that goes over the larger pipe. I never could get them to fully seal, and when I used a few too many ugga-duggas on the nut (to try and make it seal), it just stripped out and I had to cut it off with a grinder.

Would a butt joint be better than the lap joint?

Alright gonna order some joints. Sizing wise MBRP is 2.5.in and I can't find what the stock exhaust size is. Someone help me out here , never threw a catback on myself til now.

No, the MBRP pipes are a lap joint. You need the little step to seal to both pipes, otherwise there would be a huge gap around the smaller pipe.

Don't worry about the size of the stock pipes, it doesn't matter. The MBRP system mates to your stock midpipes at the flange, so you won't need a clamp there.

I've never heard of or seen the Megan Racing system, so I can't comment on those.

Ok I see. So I basically just need 4 , 2.5 in lap joints and I'm good to go

I ran a sound test with my girl driving away. It sounds great IMO, she jumped on it around the corner. It had deeper growl than I can hear from inside the cabin, but it doesn’t carry on for miles like some of the others (which is perfect).
An orange car with a loud exhaust and super dark tint in Illinois will get you pulled over almost everyday.
This is how the car should have sounded from the factory.

I’d get the MBRP if I were to choose.
Hey,u see you got the thermal RD. Can't find a decent sound clip. How do you like it, trying to decide on a few exhausts. I'm looking for something mid tier loudness but not as deep. Cheers

Love my exhaust. Not too loud. It doesn’t sound raspy like Borla. Has a deeper tone to it. No drone when on comfort mode.
